HJS drive for ideal Ganesh festival
Ishwarpur (Dist. Sangli) : Artificial water tank and donation of idol drives should not be undertaken during Ganesh festival, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 19th August through a petition submitted to Chief Officer Shri. Deepak Zanzurde at Ishwarpur, Mayor Shri. Subhash Suryavanshi, Dy. zonal Police Officer Vaishali Shinde, municipal councilors Shri. Sadanand Patil, Shri. Vijay Kumbhar, Shri. Khanderao Jadhav, Sou. Nilima Kushire, Sou. Shalan Kolekar, Sou. Shubhangi Shelake and Smt. Lata Kurlekar. Chief Officer and Mayor assured to do whatever was possible in this regard and to advise Ganesh Mandals for celebrating the festival as per Dharmashastra.
VCD on ideal Ganesh festival was shown on this occasion. Shri. Gajanan Patil of ‘Shri. Shiva-Pratishthan’, Sou. Bharati Jain, Shri. Rajaram More, Shri. Santosh Kumbhar of HJS, Sou. Pramila Mote, Sou. Alka Babar, Sou. Shah and Sou. Sarika Thorat of Sanatan Sanstha were present while submitting the petition.
