Jalgaon : There are pictures of Deities such as Hanuman, Ganapati, Shrikrushna and Bheema in form of caricatures on ‘rakhis’ sold in the market. Shri. Ganapati is shown in cartoon form with an ice cream in His hand, a snake is shown in front of Hanuman’s face. There are ‘raakhis’ with even pictures of Ganapati and Spiderman. All these ‘rakhis’ cost more than Rs. 100/-.

Pune : This year, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ will be celebrated on 29th August. There are variety of ‘rakhis’ available in the markets. Many ‘rakhis’ are with pictures of Hindu Deities like Bal Ganesh and Bal Hanuman to attract attention of children. These Deities are shown as driving a vehicle, drinking coco-cola or playing game and children want to buy such ‘rakhis’. Besides, these, there are ‘rakhis’ available in the market with the name of ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan’ which has a small metal mace; which is copied from the film of the same name and worn by actor in this film as a hanging bracelet. It is also denigration of Shri Hanuman.
