MLA Jagtap (second from right) was given petition by HJS activists and Shri. Moreshwar Shedage of ‘Bharatiya Yuva Morcha’ (on right)

Pimpri : Shri. Ganesh idols were immersed by erecting a well of mesh in river at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This concept is good and I will take initiative in erecting similar well in river and talk to Municipal Commissioner about the same, promised BJP- MLA Shri. Lakshman Jagtap to the delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

A petition was submitted to MLA Jagatap on behalf of HJS against erection of artificial water tanks or donation of idols when he said that many Ganesh festival committees use Dolby loudspeakers; people gamble in front of the idols in marquees. Our people need to be imparted Dharmashikshan; also the concept of ‘one village – one Ganapati’ is good and if implemented, the number of Ganesh Mandals will be reduced besides no. of idols. Members of these Mandals do not even know the ‘artis’ and it is played on VCD. After Ganesh festival, many ‘Mandals’ do not seem to be taking up any social activity; many ‘mandals’ are not even registered. This year, you attend the meeting of Ganesh mandals and police and explain your points, stated MLA Jagtap.

MLA Jagtap was shown VCD prepared on celebration of ideal Ganeshotsav on the occasion. Shri. Moreshwar Shedage of ‘Bharatiya Yuva Morcha’, HJS members Shri. Parag Gokhale, Shri. Sandesh Kadam, Shri. Lone, Shri. Nagesh Joshi and few lady activists were present.
