Ludhiana (Punjab): Rashtriya Hindu Manch activists today burnt the effigy of Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh at Dandi Swami Chowk here.
They were protesting against Singh's statements "in favour of terrorists involved in the Delhi blasts" and the encounter in which Delhi police inspector Mohan Chand Sharma lost his life.
The organisation president Pawan Sharma called Singh an "irresponsible leader" and took exception to the leader "raising doubts over the killings of terrorists in Jamia Nagar and questioning the sacrifice of inspector Sharma".
"Terrorism is flourishing because of leaders like Amar Singh who are directly or indirectly supporting terrorists for vote-bank politics," he alleged.
