Lavatory at Manikarnika Kunda should be immediately removed, demands HJS

HJS members submitting representation to Dy. District Collector Shri. Sanjeev Deshmukh

Satara :Manikarnika Kunda is an integral part of Sri Mahalakshmi Devasthan but Pashchim Maharashtra Devasthan Vyavasthapan Samiti (PMDVS) closed the Kund and started lavatory in its place which is very infuriating. The lavatory should be immediately removed and Manikarnika Kunda should be opened for devotees. The above demand was made through a representation submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to Dy. District Collector Shri. Sanjeev Deshmukh who forwarded it to the District Collector of Kolhapur.

The then District Collector of Kolhapur had issued order on 15th April 2013 for removal of lavatory at Manikarnika Kunda but PMDVS purposely did not implement the order. HJS has demanded that PMDVS should look into the matter and stop desecration of Hindus’ faith; else agitation will be staged. Shri. Hemant Sonawane, Sou. Rupa Mahadik, Sou. Janhavi Bharamgunde, Shri. Rahul Bharamgunde, Shri. Deepak Daphale and Shri. Vinayak Kulkarni were present on the occasion.

Representation submitted at Karad

Karad :Similar representation was submitted even at Karad to Tehsildar Shri. Rajendra Shelake when members of Shri. Shiva-pratishthan, BJP, HJS and Sanatan Sanstha were present.
