Mahalakshmi idol issue : Why DC wasting others’ time ?

Why have such farce about meetings when there is no intention to hear out experts in Dharmashastra ? Why is District Collector wasting others’ time ?

Kolhapur : A meeting was held by District Collector Amit Saini on 24th July with Hindu Janajagruiti Samiti (HJS), experts in the subjects of chemical coatings, sculpting, Shripujaks and members of Pashchim Maharashtra Devasthan Vyavasthapan Samiti. Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of HJS, advocate Shri. Veerendra Ichalkaranjikar, all-India President of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad and former Judge Shri. Sudhakar Chapalgaonkar presented points about Dharmashastra on this issue. District Collector Saini then said, ‘The process of chemical coating has already started and it is not possible to stop now. If any harm is caused to the idol due to such restoration, the responsibility will be of Archaeology Department. We will consider objections raised by HJS; but they should give everything in writing through a letter.’ Shripujaks also said that it was not possible to stop the work after required rituals were performed. Local MP Dhananjay Mahadik informed that there were no orders to stop work undertaken by Archaeology Department.
