Anandavalleesaram Temple in Kollam burgled

spke_kollam_ananda_vallisam_1Kollam (Kerala) : There has been a mass robbery in Anandavalleesaram temple in Kollam. Sources have reported that the vigraha of Lord Krishna, made of Panchaloha has been stolen, along with other priceless possessions.

The incident took place early in the morning, when the marauders skillfully did away with the vigraha that was placed in another corner of the temple, owing to temple reconstruction. Along with the missing vigraha are idols of Lakshmi, Mahavishnu and Bhumidevi.

An inquiry has been initiated into the matter.
