A Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA) volunteer from Columbus, Ohio, USA noticed a denigrating picture on her friends Facebook page. On this page, Deity Shri Ram was humanized by replacing His face with a friend’s face and then shared in a group to wish him on his birthday.
The FHA volunteer approached them and explained why this is denigration and leads to sin. Using such a picture is nothing but an insult of Shri Ram, a highly revered Hindu deity worshiped by billions of Hindus worldwide. The friend was requested to remove this image from Facebook and other social websites. As a result, the impact of the denigration was understood, and the offending image was removed.
