Withdraw tax levied on food-courts opened for Amarnath pilgrims : Suhas Patil, Shiv Sena

Hindutvavadis staging demonstrations at Uchagaon

Uchgaon, Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has levied tax on food-courts operated for Shri Amarnath pilgrims and we condemn this decision. The Government extends aid for Haj pilgrimage but levies tax on Hindus’ pilgrimages. It is beyond tolerance. The Government should take care of Hindus’ religious sentiments and cancel this tax immediately or beware, warned Shri. Suhas Patil of Shiv Sena. Demonstrations were staged under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ on 6th July at ‘Uchgaon Phata’ when he addressed the demonstrators.

Shri. Sagar Patil of Shiv Sena said, “Enemy who openly attacks, is better. This BJP- PDP Government has started harassing Hindus. Terrorists have been given a free hand and they have created problems for Amarnath pilgrimage.” Shri. Vijay Gulawe of Shri Shiva-pratishthan said, “Films like ‘Mohalla Assi’ should not be screened by theatres or it will have strong repercussions.” Shri. Madhukar Nazare of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, “Required funds should be allocated promptly for ‘Simhastha Parva’ at Nashik by completing all pending works on war-footing.” Shri. Rajan Bunage and Sou. Anita Bunage of HJS also expressed their views on this occasion.

More than 40 demonstrators including Shri. Raju Yadav, Shiv Sena’s Karveer Taluka-Chief, its members Shri. Vikram Chougule, Shri. Sagar Patil, Shri. Vujay Gulawe of Shri. Shiva-pratishthan, Shri. Ajit Patil, devout Hindus like Shri. Anil Ingale, Grampanchayat member Shri. Sushil Shekhar, members of HJS viz. Shri. Shivanand Swami, Rajan Bunage, Sou. Anita Bunage, Sou. Charusheela Habal of Ranaragini Div. were present on the occasion.

Highlights – Police extended cooperation for holding demonstrations and representatives of media also paid attention to what was being said.
