Hindu Community should Register Fervent Protest against Denigration of Spiritual Gurus: Kummanam

Kottarakkara : Hindu Aikya Vedi general secretary Kummanam Rajashekharan has exhorted the Hindu community to forge into a formidable single entity and register their fervent protest against the denigration of spiritual gurus and their being labeled ‘Godmen’by anti-Hindu forces. Speaking on the occasion of the commemorative fu nction of Amma Saradananda Saraswati of Thamarakudi Jnanakuteeram Ashramam, he sent a strong reminder that the culture of Bharat placed its spiritual Gurus above anything else.

Delivering the key note address, Kummanam said that spiritual Gurus always reminded administrators and citizens to fight against dervish forces and come out successful in the combat. “They are souls who have set aside their life solely for serving as beacons of guidance. So when anti-Hindu forces denigrate them by referring to them as ‘Godmen’, they should be given befitting counter responses in such a way that the snide is never repeated. Ours is a culture that has always revered Sanyasis. And at a time when the spate of selfish deeds that are unleashed stands escalated, the prominence of spirituals Gurus are more relevant than ever,” he said.

Reminding that the purpose of human life is multifold, which should never be wasted on mere gluttony of food, Kummanam said that spiritual Gurus are the souls who steer us from these wasteful paths to a life of purpose. “Even if the constitution of Bharat is altered, even if police and armed forces try to enforce their discipline, Dharma can never be saved or upheld, if spiritual Gurus do not exist. Only they can steer the society on the path of Dharma,” said Kummanam, concluding that his tryst of serving Hindu society as a lifetime endeavour was shaped by the counsel imparted to his on mother by Amma Saradananda Saraswati.
