Anti-Dharma Education Department's great sin to include matter related to religious rituals as superstitions !
Mumbai : Education Board has changed the curriculum of tenth standard from this year. A new subject called ‘Personality Development’ has been included in the curriculum. Self-studies series of articles written by Prof. Chandrakant Margaj on 'Guidance on Personality Development and Work Book' published by Navneet Publications has been certified by the School Education Board for tenth standard. In chapter 5 on ‘Scientific View’ under the topic ‘Value Education’, matters like astrology, sacred fire (Yadnya), Mantra-tantra, recitation of holy scriptures (puja-paath) have been termed as superstitions. (School Education Department has thus attacked freedom, conferred by the Indian Constitution, to follow any religion and tried to destroy faith in school children at their tender age. People should take the Education Board to task! – Editor) Gujarat was hit by a major earthquake after which people performed 'Koti-yadnya' to prevent such earthquakes in future. An epidemic of plague broke out in Surat and people performed 'Sree Satyanarayan Puja'. Rumour of 'Lord Ganesha drinking milk' spreads like fire and people queue up to feed Lord Ganesha with milk. Misconception, like pregnant women should not cut anything on the day of eclipse, is not yet eradicated. (On what basis Prof. Chandrakant Margaj and the School Education Board, which has included his heretic book in the curriculum, have decided that all the above mentioned things are superstitions? If one has no knowledge of a subject, can the subject be termed as wrong? – Editor) Prof. Margaj says in the book that why such things are still happening. It is because we still don't have scientific viewpoint. In this chapter, Prof. Margaj has termed ‘Yadnya’, ‘Satyanarayan Puja’, scientific approach behind an eclipse as superstitions. (It is most ridiculous that those who have put blinkers of disbelief on their eyes and have lost their power of reasoning are talking about scientific viewpoint – Editor) What does Science teach us? It explains the reason behind every happening. When water is boiled, it gives out vapours; but without heating, can we get vapour just by chanting mantra or by performing puja or ‘yadnyas’? Everything has a certain reason which is accepted by the whole world, is known as scientific view. We must realize that planets 'Rahu-Ketu (Pluto and Neptune)' are not responsible for eclipse but it is due to play of shadows of Moon and Earth. (Why this play of eclipse happens only at a certain time or how it never misses its predicted time. Who has control over this play? Does Prof. Margaj have an answer to all these questions – Editor) The lesson also says that one should not believe in anything just because some fake ‘Baba’ or ‘Dharma’ says so. (Everyone accepts a person as father when the mother says so. The world sustains on such beliefs and faiths. Prof. Margaj is creating disbelief in future generations which is very dangerous! – Editor) The lesson further advocates cleanliness for scientific point of view. Below this lesson, there is a saying by Saint Ramdas meaning anything without experience or proof is an illusion. (Saint Ramdas has said that try to understand spiritual science through the medium of experiences. We must stop people who are trying to misrepresent the sayings of saints without any knowledge of spiritual science – Editor)Inclusion of project banned by Government in the curriculum
‘Maharashtra State Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS)’ had conducted tests in different schools under its project called scientific awareness. Questions included in this test were based on various rites and rituals, manner of worshipping and astrology with the purpose of creating doubt in the minds of students. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Parents Organization had lawfully opposed this project and Shri. Jayaraj Phatak, the then Secretary, Education Department had taken note of the opposition by immediately issuing orders to withdraw the project. In the text book for tenth standard, however, a chapter with such objectionable questions has been included.Source: 'Daily Sanatan Prabhat'
