I am a regular and an avid reader of your esteemed newspaper. "Speaking Tree" is really a very outstanding article of the plethora of good articles in your paper and its also one of my favourites...
However, I would like to take your attention to the "JUST LIKE THAT" article published on 13th May 2008, Page 9 under "Times International" on the top left corner of the paper. In that their is a very vivid denigration of my worshipped Gods Shriram and Shri Hanuman. It lucidly says that Our Beloved and Holy Ramsetu is all fake and it was not a man-made bridge.
It is totally an irresponsible statement that has been published by such a responsible daily. In this way you are straightforwardly opposing the Hindu myths that have a well-proven scientific background about their trueness. Irrespective of anybody's acceptance or not, the truth cannot be ignored.
Further, I would like to ask you "Will you dare to publish something as the aforesaid that directly hurts Muslims or Christians?"
So, hereby I condemn this act of denigration as it has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus all over the world and definitely the social ones of humanity at large...
I request you to ponder over it and do confess your mistake through your paper.

I am sorry to hear this cartoon published by TOI, Ahmedabad on 13th May 2008. How dare you publish these denigration of Hindu deities? Do you dare to do this to Muslims or Christians in your news paper? Do you believe Hindus have become impotents and do not take action whatever filth you publish in the newspaper? I condemn act of denigration by TOI and demand unconditional apologies for this henious act and responsible behaviour in future not to hurt millions of Hindus living worldwide.

I strongly protest against this cartoon published in TOI and I dare them to reproduce the cartoons of prophet mohammed that appeared in the Dutch newspapers. They won't because they are COWARDS. Their offices all over the country will be reduced to dust by muslim protestors all over the country if they do so. Because Hindus are meek and don't make a show of such violence, they are taken for granted and always deliberatly insulted by TOI.

During last elections in Gujrat hefty money was paid to Indian Media which is largely owned by Christians & Islamic groups to defame Modi Here is the reason one will understand why TOI is anti Hindu.

Most of the Indian media like times of India are anti-hindu. I am sure cartoonist Jug Suraiya & Ajit Ninan wont dare to draw such insulting Cartoons of Prophet Mohhamad & Jejus Christ. I am sure these are sons of Jihadi terrorist. Hindus should stopp subscribing to such Anti-Hindu newspapers like Times of India.

News papers are here to report the truth and not the private opinions of the owners. TOI has totally faltered in this aspect when they have made this cartoon. The centuries old faith of Hindus, the words of their saints and sages are what TOI has disrespected and insulted. They have expressed their idea that the majority in India are a bunch of fools while they alone are intelligent. The intelligent thing to be done is to actually sponsor a scientific research with a team of leading archelogists from accross the world. Will TOI do this? I doubt it.. for who wants the Truth? They want only sensation... Why does the reputed newspaper stoop to such levels like the street corner gossipers? Think

I am unable to understand that at one side TOI is publishing Speaking Tree and other side Denigration of Hindu Deities. I feel that Concept of Dharma is not clear to the TOI/writer of Speaking Tree otherwise at least he must have to oppose at first. TOI must feel ashamed that after reading so much of opposition letter they are still keep quite.

The problem is hindus are tolerant...Or that they are just not bothered to protect this religion built by our ancestors and is,as you all agree, one of the richest in culture and human values..The only point of interest for them is getting a software job and buying a flat...In 50,60years , dont be surprised if you find no devotees on a sunday in a temple cause thats how the new generation is... We need a big revolution and change in mindsets to change the future generation, more energy/time needs to be spent on them..
