Disruption by rainsWhen the Sabha commenced and the narration of activities of the Samiti was going on, there were sudden rains at the venue at 6.00 p.m. Taking stock of the relentless rains, the organizers shifted the venue immediately to the nearby Aadishakti Veerbhadra hall. The Sabha re-commenced within half an hour. The rains gained momentum at 6.30 p.m. with thunders and lightning and continued till the Sabha concluded. No sooner was the Sanatan’s Shaktirath containing generator activated than the power supply to the entire town tripped. (Knowing fully well that one has to face such obstacles when the rains start, Dr. Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha’s founder immediately informed over telephone that three seekers of Sanatan Sanstha should perform chanting of Name and prayers till the conclusion of the Sabha so as to continue the Sabha without obstacles. The Sabha continued without any kind of impediments despite torrential rains! - Editor) |

Trained Sena a must for protection of the nation and dharma ! - Mohan Gauda, Dharmashakti Sena
Remember, tomorrow we shall face the same situation which the Hindus in Kashmir and Kerala are facing today. We are taking self-defence training to attack others; but if anyone attacks us, we should be in a position to save at least our life. You may think that this is the first time the Hindus are coming together to fight; but it is not so. In ancient times also our ancestors had fought unitedly for the protection of gods, nation and dharma many times. The Primal Shankaracharya had also unified the Hindus, raised an army and fought a fierce war with Kapalikas who were butchering Hindus. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Rana Pratap had also produced trained army of Hindus to fight with the great Moghuls. It is very important that there ought to be a trained Sena to strengthen and protect the nation and the dharma. We are only robbing our own nation! - Shivanand Prabhu, HJS' spokesperson for Karnataka state
Our heart is not stirred when we learn that our country is in doldrums and is fast degenerating. Due to lack of pride for the nation, our feelings are not hurt when some foreigner speaks ill of our nation. When the leaders elected by us indulge in rampant corruption or create a state of anarchy, we do not question them. In other words, it is we who are looting our country, by giving mute consent to our leaders’ corruption. The Muslims, Christians, Naxalites and a majority of politicians are trying to tear apart the limbs of the country. Our ‘who-cares’ attitude about the situations prevailing in the country today is responsible for the aggressions from outside the country and we do not feel anything wrong in it. The incidences of strikes of Naxalites and Pak-sponsored terrorists everywhere, infiltration of Bangaldeshi Muslims, pressure tactics of the U.S. etc. have become the order of the day. Thus the state of the country is alarmingly sordid and it is high time we should get united to change it.As the Deities are bound by mantras, they do come at the venue when mantras are recited! - Vinod Kamat, Sanatan Sanstha
Today no one understands the science behind rituals before performing them nor does any one do them with profound faith. Things like offering to God spoilt fruits, moth-eaten betel nuts, soiled notes, creating ruckus at the venue of worship etc. adversely affect one’s faith. The Deities are bound by the mantras. So when mantras are recited, they do come at the venue. But the atmosphere at the venue should be serene and sacred so as to preserve the principles of the Deity at the venue for a longer time. The Deities do come at the venue when Lord Ganapati is worshipped, rite of appeasement of the Vaastu Deity is performed, Satya Narayan is worshipped or during Navaratri. It makes the surrounding environment Sattvik and pious. Our religious festivals are observed as per Teethi i.e. the date as per Hindu calendar; because the principle of the Deity of the teethi comes on the earth in larger quantity e.g. the Ram principle on Shri Ram Navami, the Maruti principle on Hanuman Jayanti, the Shiva principle on Mahashivaratri and the Lakshmi principle on the day of Lakshmi Pujan. So taking religious action or worshipping the Deities on those days assumed enormous significance. We get more spiritual benefit out of it, which we must understand. Spiritual benefit means getting more divine energy from God for the purpose of protection of dharma; it is therefore more important to see whether we take oil bath or Gudi Padwa or we hoist Gudi at proper time than to see which new sweet is prepared at home by mother on that day.It is high time the united Hindus exploded their feelings! - Vasant Nayak Palimarker of 'Vyankataraman Mandir'
It is high time that the Hindus are united to protect their dharma. There are all types of weapons available with our enemies and they are using them for destructive purpose. We also need weapons to put a break to the activities of these brutes. The main reason why Bharat is advanced on intellectual and spiritual level is the Hindu culture. The nations, the US, China and Pakistan are trying to assail our flourishing culture. Crores of rupees of the temple organizations are given to Christians and the Muslims under the garb of nationalization. Some of the amount also goes towards the Haj pilgrimage. On the contrary, the Hindu pilgrims have to pay hefty fees to the government for undertaking pilgrimage to Amaranath and Vaishno Devi. The communists are creating an atmosphere of terror and a situation where one is forced to ‘either become a communist or get killed by them’. To stop the assaults, the Hindus must become united. To make this country prosperous and bountiful, time has come that the Hindus must explode their feelings!Hindus should observe religious behaviour! - Haridas B.C. Rao
Today the condition of the temples in the country is very pathetic. The priests in the temples lack luster. The temples are being nationalized. This results in use of the temple wealth for the benefit of other religions. Sixty percent of the funds thus collected through nationalization is being used for the Muslims, 30% for the Christians and only 10% for the Hindus. Nationalisation has also adversely affected the upkeep of the temples. If this state of affairs continues unabated, the future generations will be deprived of religious education through the temples. Today’s parents proudly say, “I have to send my son to America and make him software engineer. Things like religious education etc. is the work of the priests.” If this mentality continues, the day is not far off when all the temples and our culture will vanish. To avoid this malady, the Hindus should observe religious behaviour. They should preserve our culture. In every Hindu house, there should be a separate temple room. There should be a seat for Tulsi plant (Tulsi Vrindavan).Forthcoming Dharmasabha Schedule
