Vasavi Mahal, Hubli : On the second day of the second State-level Hindu Convention being held jointly by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sriram Sena, awareness was created on the topic of cow-slaughter.

Cow-slaughter is the cause of pathetic condition of farmers ! – Shri. Gangadhar Kulkarni, Sriram Sena, State Convener

Shri. Gangadhar Kulkarni said, “Only in India, there is fertile land. India is agricultural country. 95-96 % farmers are dependent on cows/cattle. If cow-slaughter is not stopped, what will be the condition of these farmers ? Land becomes sterile due to use of tractor. It can be made fertile with the help of cows/ cattle; therefore, we should be prepared to sacrifice our life for their protection.”

Karnataka Government misleading by claiming that there was no law to protect cows in the State ! – Advocate Shri. Chetan Manerikar

Advocate Shri. Chetan Manerikar said, “As per clause 4 of Karnataka Prevention of Cow-slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 1964, there is restriction on slaughter of cows and bulls. There is prohibition on slaughter of cows/ cattle and buffaloes without permission of the Government and veterinary doctor. An animal that is more than 12 years old; if suffering from incurable disease or has become unproductive, only then, it can be killed without permission of veterinary doctor; but in Karnataka State healthy cows, bulls and buffaloes are being slaughtered. The Congress Government in Karnataka and butchers are misleading people that there is no law related to protection of cows.”

The Government is misleading farmers by granting permission to legal and unauthorized slaughter-houses ! – Shri. Madhvaraj Acharya, Coordinator, HJS, Sindhnuru

Shri. Madhvaraj Acharya said, “Farmers were using organic fertilizers earlier; therefore, they were not committing suicide. They used to prepare such fertilizers through their cattle. We used to revere cows; but the Government is misleading farmers by granting permission to start legal as also unauthorized slaughter-houses.”

Spiritual practice is necessary to get help from God ! – Shri. Ramanand Gauda, Sanatan Sanstha, Prasar-Sevak, Karnataka State

Shri. Ramanand Gauda said, “Many pro-Hindu organizations are not abiding by Dharma; therefore, they do not get God’s help. Those, who do not abide by Dharma, cause harm to Dharma. With God’s help, we can win ‘Dharma-yuddha’ even if we are less in number. All of us should undertake spiritual practice to get God’s help.”
