Hindus must remember such politicians at the time of Dharmakranti, who defame our Hindu Deities! - Editor
Mumbai: While speaking in legislature council, Shri. Kapil Patil, a communist and MLA of Lokbharati party, made a statement hurting the religious feelings of the Hindus. He said,“Whenever I am invited for a function in any school or a collage, I am told to garland Goddess Saraswati; but, come what may, I flatly decline to garland Saraswati. My grandmother and great grandmother had no right to education; because Saraswati had denied that right to us. (Who has told this to Shri. Patil? In which religious scripture did he read it? He must understand that he has no right to indulge in mud slinging on Hindu Deities! – Editor) The right to education was given by Fatima and Savitribai Phule. (A sheer lie of Shri Patil! Even before the rise of Savitribai Phule, there was a progressive system of education and the girls were also taking education. But this entire history was concealed by both the British and the self-aggrandised politicians of today to create a rift in the society! – Editor) So I do not believe in Saraswati.”
Shri. Patil was participating in a discussion on the topic of education raised by the opposition benches. He further said, “Education should be secular. When Gandhiji had broached the subject of starting a Vidyamandir (a school), Nehru suggested a new word for Vidyamandir – Vidyalaya. As religion entered in the field of education, the followers of other religions have distanced themselves from Marathi language. (One more startling discovery of Shri Patil! Even after pouring heaps of concessions for the followers of other religions, they still do not feel this country to be their ‘own’. How can they call Marathi their ‘own’? – Editor) Earlier there used to be a picture of Saraswati in schools; but due to our persuasion, now the picture of Savitribai Phule is being put up.” Though the home minister Shri R.R. Patil and education minister Prof. Vasant Purke were present in the house, they chose not to take objection to his statement and kept quiet. (What else can we expect from the Congressmen which have been brought up on the anti-Hindu school of thought of Nehru? – Editor)
