Chennai: A Tamil film ran into trouble well before the start of its production as police stepped in and ordered the producer to cancel its launch Wednesday after some outifts alleged that the film theme mocked at the pantheon of Hindu Gods.
According to police, the poster of the film 'Vanakkamma' depicted the two lead characters dressed like Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman attending to nature's call in public, leading to protest from the Hindu Munnani. The Hindu Munnani alleged that the film maker planned to shoot scenes showing the characters dressed as Gods smoking and drinking liquour. The police intervened and directed the film crew to remove the poster and postpone the launch.

April 14, 2008 Chaitra Shuddha Dashami Hindus must force director & producer of "Vanakkammaa" to stop it's screening. Once again Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) in Tamil Nadu is denigrating Lord Rama & Lord Hanuman. Mr. Karunanidhi, CM, TN who also beongs to same party has questioned existence of Lord Rama. Now producer & director related to DK/DMK are making movie in which denigration of Lord Rama & Hanuman is done. O Hindus, remember such anti-Hindus at the time of Dharmakranti! Denigratory poster of Lord Hanuman & Lord Rama
A new Tamil movie by name "Vanakkammaa" (Namaste Madam) is being launched on Wednesday the 16th at Chennai. The producer Mr. Anbu Thennarasan is a rank atheist closely connected with DK and DK President Veeramani. DK's Suba Veerapandiyan and Director Seeman (both are atheists) are attached with this movie.
This poster is likely to be pasted all over the state. It is believed many scenes denigrating Lord Rama and Veer Hanuman may find place in the film. Need of the hour: Immediate actions to stop this Dravidian Arrogance and Atheistic Nonsense.

It is better to write to the Censor Board and the Government of India to stop this. The government should clarify whether all are welcome to do the same way to all religions. If the government and Censor board has no objection to the same treatment for all religious icons, we should also produce such movies with characters from other religions. Then the government would open its eyes, for they are afraid of other religious fanatics.

Namaste Hindu Brothers,
In chennai,the tamil Movie inaguration program of "Vanakkammaa" (Namaste Madam) film have been cancelled.
Success ! protest was organised by Local Hindu Group - "Hindu Munnani"( Hindu Front) and BJP party workers.
All banners & posters denegrating Lord Shri rama & Lord hanuman has been withdrawn by the concerned film group.
We are thinking of further course of plan.

The government should be made to answer. Either take action against all those concerned with the film or start production of such films denigrating anything under the sun. The government cannot be partial. Let us see what the government does then. After what they have done to Taslima Nazreen this shamleless UPA and its supporters will not dare to allow anything against other religions. Dirty Congressmen and their supporters can only hurt hindu sentiments. If they do it to other religions they will be made to crawl before the fundamentalists.

Shame on us that we have fail to prserve our old values and even we cant stop any such culprit (like M.F. Hussain) who are freely play with our emotions.
Everytime I see such incidence I think that now we are called very moderate and have not too guts to stop them and teach them how to respect a great religion called Hinduism.
