Inauguration of Dharmashakti Sena at Yavatmal

April 15, 2008

Yavatmal: With the objective of instilling power and strength among the Hindus and unifying them towards establishment of Ram Rajya, ‘Dharmashakti Sena’ was inaugurated in Shri Ram Mandir, Ram Nagar here at the auspicious hands of H.B.P. Prabhudasji Shirbhate Maharaj who garlanded the board of the Sena and broke a coconut.  In his guidance, the Maharaj eulogised the divine tasks of the saints Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Tukaram Maharaj. He said, “When the country and dharma are in a critical condition, we should not think that ‘someone will come forward and protect the dharma’. We should rather make a beginning from ourselves.” Shri Vipin Deshpande, district-sevak of Sanatan Sanstha elaborated the objective of establishment of the Sena.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Today the nation and dharma are passing through difficult times with onslaughts from all directions and through various means like conversion, terrorism, denigration of Deities, distortion of Bharat's glorious history and what not. However a common Hindu, instead of rising vehemently to counter the attacks, is falling an easy prey to them. With a view to make the Hindus physically, mentally and spiritually strong to face the heavy odds, to bring together the like-minded elements and create a formidable force of Hindus for protection of the nation and dharma, 'Dharmashakti Sena' has been established at 16 places in Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.

Shri. Vinay Panvalkar, chief of Dharmashakti Sena today visited the temple of Maharashtra's most revered Deity, Sree Devi Tulajabhavani, at Tuljapur and sought her blessings for the success of Dharmashakti Sena, praying her to bestow upon the Sena immense strength in its divine mission so as to carry out the mission free of obstacles and impediments. 1. Aim

To awaken the energy of Righteousness (DharmaShakti) in the society and establish Ramarajya, i.e., a nation based on Righteousness.

2. Objectives

  • To make Hindus counteractive by destroying their apathy towards the attacks on the Nation and Dharma.
  • To create awareness of the effects of these attacks on society, the Nation and Dharma, in the present times.
  • To make devout Hindus (Dharmabhimanis) capable of action at the physical, psychological and righteous levels, to change the adverse situation that the society is facing today.

3. Direction of activity

To achieve the above objective, the DharmaShakti Sena intends to conduct self-defence workshops and camps. These workshops will impart training that will equip one with mental courage, apart from physical strength. Training will also be given on how to put in team work during times of emergency in order to defend oneself and the society. Likewise, first-hand knowledge about first-aid and fire-fighting will also be provided gradually. An insight into the attacks on Dharma shall be given. Efforts shall be made to develop in the individual, the qualities of discipline, promptness, fearlessness, love for Dharma and the Nation, righteous brotherhood, etc., which are essential for undertaking this mission.

4. Training essential for ladies too!

This training is essential for both, ladies and gents. Today, ladies tolerate the obscene gestures and lewd comments of goons and anti-social elements in buses, markets and other public places due to bashfulness and fear. In spite of being physically weak, one can raise a verbal alarm in a crowded public place. This will alert many people to the mishap, of whom, at least one will rush to the rescue. This person’s effort will encourage the others to act accordingly and teach such anti-social elements an immediate lesson. However, this does not happen because we lack self-confidence! In order to avoid this, it is necessary to increase our potential and make efforts to improve self-confidence.

5. Increasing physical strength

Swami Vivekananda used to exercise and do Pranayaam in order to keep his body fit, steadfast and ever-flowing with radiance and inspiration. One ought to pay attention to increasing physical strength not from an individual point of view, but rather, for the overall benefit to society. Only then can we hope to attain at least a part of the divine consciousness, intense yearning for the motherland and pride of being a Bharatiya that Swami Vivekananda possessed.

6. Don't forget the history of the armed battle of revolutionaries and saints!

Do not forget people like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the other revolutionaries who took up arms for the nation's freedom struggle. Under the leadership of H.H. Golwalkar Guruji, its second sarsanghachalak, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) performed the mighty task of protecting the Hindus and ensuring their safe passage into India during the violence that erupted during the partition. At the same time, when communal riots flared up in East Bengal, H.H. Guruji instructed the Swayamsevaks that weapons should be countered with weapons and arranged for arms to be made available. H.H. Guruji preached that Hindus should be prepared to lay down their lives for the Nation and Dharma, but only after killing the maximum possible enemies.

7. There is no alternative to self defence for a righteous revolution (Dharmakranti) ! - Shri. Vinay Panvalkar

Gurudev Dr. Kate Swamiji of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra says, "The one who is a mute spectator to the destruction of Dharma is a big sinner. The one who struggles for the protection of Dharma is Liberated." To be successful  in this righteous revolution, we need spiritual practice for awakening Brahmatej and training in self defence for awakening Kshatratej.
