National award announced in the ‘Best Children’s Film’ category to ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’, an anti-Hindu movie

Hindus Deities, Warkari sect, ritualistic worship, like Ekadashi have been shown disrespect purposely in the film ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’ directed by Paresh Mokashi and the film has been declared as the ‘Best Children’s Film’. Devout Hindu oragnisations and Warkari sect have protested vehemently against this film. By releasing this film on the Chlidren’s Day, that is, on 14th November, they have aimed at creating bad impression on younger minds triggering opposition to Dharma and Hindus. Objectionable scenes and dialogues in the film are given ahead.

1. In this film, Shri Vitthal is shown standing on a bicycle and Queen Elizabeth is shown standing on a brick. In addition to this the original devotional song is presented in a distorted manner like, ‘Charming, Deity is standing on a bicycle (Instead of the brick, in the original song) thus denigrating the Saint’s composition.

2. Some devout Hindu organizations and some people are shown agitating while demanding the cancellation of the ‘Black magic’ Bill and police are shown using batons against them, In this commotion many business premises are shown getting damaged. In fact the reality is none of the agitations opposing the ‘Black Magic’ Bill so far have experienced vicious attacks, financial loss or police using batons on Hindus to disperse them.

3. In this film genuine Saints are being insulted when Newton being called a saint.

4. A scene depicting counting of the cash in the donation box in the temple at Pandharpur is shown repeatedly and a song accompanying this has wording like, ‘Dagad,dagad paishacha pur raggad – stone, stone, money pouring like rain’, showing that people offer lot of money to the Stone Deity, thereby hurting the sentiments of Hindu devotees.

5. In one incident, showing a female devotee visiting many temples to fulfill her vow, uttering words like, ‘I do not know the Deity that has fulfilled my vow, hence I am visiting all the temples’, Hindus faith has been ridiculed.

6. In another incident a prostitute accompanying the wari, is saying, ‘In the last wari I did not benefit much; but this year I have done good business.’ Likewise many objectionable incidents and dialogues are picturised in this film.
