Taj Mahal

How Government cannot obtain any proofs despite having all the machinery at its disposal although history-researchers can find proofs ?

Agra : Mahesh Sharma, Minister of Tourism in Modi Government stated that there was no proof of the famous Taj Mahal being an ancient Shiva Temple, refuting claim of few ‘Hindutva-vadis’ that Taj Mahal is a Shiva Mandir and used to be known as ‘Tejo –Mahalay’. The renowned historian P. N. Oak has also made such claim after research. Advocate Harishchandra Jain of Hindu Legal Cell, along with 6 other advocates, has filed a petition in Agra Court claiming that Taj Mahal is an ancient ‘Shivalaya’.

Advocate Hari Shankar Jain and 5 other devout Hindu lawyers have named Lord Agreshwar as the main plaintiff in the plea. The plea says that even though the Taj Mahal is currently being administered by the Archeology Department, Lord Agreshwar has sole claim over the structure.

The plea also asks that the various crypts in the structure be cleared and only Hindus be given the right to offer prayers there.

A similar plea regarding the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is pending before the apex court.
