Mumbai: The Hindutva of atheists, who do not believe in Dharma (Righteousness), is one responsible for destroying the Hindu Dharma. We do not any compromise with Hindutva, which is why we want a righteous electorate having Hindutva ideology only, expressed ‘Bharatacharya’ S.G. Shevade, a ‘Pravachankaar’ of national fame. He was speaking at the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Konkan Nagar, Bhandup (W).

At this time, the National President of the Sree Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasansthanam Purvamalaya Sree Govardhanpeetham Vedmurty Dhananjay Vaidyashastri, H.H. Gurudev Kateswamiji’s disciple H.H. Ramanandanath Swami, Sanatan Sanstha’s Prasarsevak Shri. Vinay Paanwalkar and HJS’ Western India Spokesperson Shri. Ramesh Shinde were present. The speakers lighted the torch of Hindu Dharma by presenting their views on topics such as conversion of faith, denigration of deities, terrorism, ‘Islamisation’ and ‘Christianization’ of history, Dharmashikshan (education about Dharma), Individual Spiritual Practice, etc.

At this time, Vedmurty Dhananjay Vaidyashastri said, “It is essential to devote more time for ‘collective upliftment of the society and opposing the injustice perpetrated on Dharma’ than that devoted to chanting and spiritual practice.” H.H. Ramanandanath Swami said, “If Dharma and Hindu culture has to sustain, then there is a need to increase the faith of the common man on the Vedas.”

Likewise, HJS’ Western India Spokesperson Shri. Ramesh Shinde asserted that, “there has been a rise in the incidence of killings of devout Hindu leaders. Hindus do not take a serious note of this. Wrong ideals are being placed before Hindus in the name of pictures like ‘Jodha-Akbar.’”

Kirtankaar Rameshwarshastri Maharaj expressed that, Dharma is being attacked from various directions through the ‘Anti-Faith Bill’, ‘Temple Takeover Act’, nude paintings of Hindu deities by M.F. Hussain, etc. He appealed to all Hindu organisations to unite to undertake the mission of protecting Dharma. Likewise, Sanatan Sanstha’s Prasarsevak Shri. Vinay Paanwalkar said, ‘Hindus should nurture a learning attitude towards their religion and the ritualistic worship contained therein and should undertake the rituals with spiritual emotion.’

In the present times, Hindu Dharma is being attacked from all directions because the Hindu community is not united; also because Hindus are not practising Dharma (Righteousness) due to lack of religious education. In such testing times, in order to sustain Hindu Dharma, the HJS had conducted 23 ‘Dharmajagruti Sabhas’ at different places in various states. In the next 2 months, the HJS intends to conduct 23 more Sabha’s in the states of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. This is the first Sabha, out of the 23 to be held, conducted in the holy presence of Saints.
