Bravo to Bhagwat : Time to Expose the Deceptive Christian Missionaries across India

Chaitra Shukla paksha 7, Kaliyug Varsh 5117

Christianity has the rancor of the sick at its very core—the instinct against the healthy, against health. Everything that is well-constituted, proud, gallant and, above all, beautiful gives offence to its ears and eyes.” Friedrich Nietzsche

The purpose of the paper is to concentrate on the comments made by Mr. Mohan Bhagwat on the real intentions of Mother Teresa, his assessment of her intentions to convert, and his observation about her Niskama karma. We will focus only on her missionary activities, her methods of treating the poor, her deceptive conversion tactics, outrageous media and liberal outburst, deceptive practices advocated by the Bible, and Westerners’ assessment of Mother Teresa’s missionary position. We are not addressing multitude of charges that were leveled against her about the treatment of the poor, inadequate medical facilities, lack of transparency of huge sums of money, questionable political connections with corrupt politicians and criminals, controversy over her contradictory statements, and her fast tract canonization as a Saint, her Nobel Peace Prize, and her position on contraceptives and abortion.

Bhagwat’s Statement

Bravo to Bhagwat for being honest in revealing the true nature of Mother Teresa who came to India mainly to covert Hindus to Christianity, dead or alive, so that she will be following the tenets of Christianity. She was truthfully adhering to the missionary work demanded of her by her missionary position. Hence, Bhagwat rightfully said that conversion to Christianity was the main objective behind Mother Teresa’s service to the poor.

“Mother Teresa’s service would have been good. But it used to have one objective, to convert the person, who was being served, into a Christian,” he said at an event in Bharatpur.
Bhagwat said that “there was a motive behind it — that those who are rendered the service should become Christian.”

“It is their question if somebody wants to convert and make someone Christian or not,” Mr. Bhagwat said. “But if that is done under the garb of service, then that service is devalued.”
“It’s good to work for a cause with selfless intentions. But Mother Teresa’s work had ulterior motive, which was to convert the person who was being served to Christianity,” RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said at the opening of an orphanage in Rajasthan state on Monday, the Times of India reports. “In the name of service, religious conversions were made. This was followed by other institutes, too.”

Assessment of Bhagwat’s Appraisal

The RSS chief had come under fierce attack from Christian institutions and non-BJP parties for his remarks on Mother Teresa that also reverberated in Parliament where the Opposition sought to target the Government.

Based on Bhagwat’s comments, we have to ask ourselves, was she really the Christian proselytizer whose mission it was to convert people to Christianity as portrayed her by RSS Chief.  Or was she really helping the needy and the poor with no intent to convert people shedding the missionary activities without bringing her religion in serving the poor.  Can she really claim there is no intent of missionary mission to convert people? If the answer is yes, did she ever disavowed her faith and disassociated herself with the Pope Paul and the Roman Catholic Church. Of course not! The establishment of Missionary of Charities reveals the real intent. She used the charities as an excuse and as a pretext to do her stealthy missionary activities. But she could not hide her real motive too long before she contradicted herself on several occasions. Mother Teresa was always clear in her mind that he was a Catholic missionary.

Aroup Chatterjee, who worked in the Mission of Charities and who had firsthand information, was very skeptical about her real motives in doing this so called “seva” to the poor:

“I am saying that there was a stupendous discrepancy between her image and her work, between her words and her deeds; that she, helped by others of course, engaged in a culture of deception.

On a superficial level, I need to tell the truth about Teresa because I feel humiliated to be associated with a place that is wrongly imagined to exist on Western charity. Perhaps the main reason why I want to tell this story is because, I believe, each of us has a duty to stand up and protest when history is in danger of being distorted. In a few years’ time Mother Teresa will be up there, glittering in the same galaxy as Mozart and Leonardo.”

It is not Bhagwat, but Westerners who were the first ones to criticize Mother Teresa. They questioned her saintliness – her version of service in her ‘homes for the dying’ where patients received less than basic healthcare, the conversions, the baptisms of the dying, the lack of transparency in funds, the lack of basic healthcare facilities, her stand on abortion and contraception, and her questionable relationships with dictators and criminals who donated huge sums of money for her organization.

The RSS official twitter account also quoted Bhagwat as saying, “To goad people to convert in the name of ‘seva’ is an affront to the service being done. Service has to be completely selfless and expecting absolutely nothing in return. Those who are the recipients of such selfless ‘seva’ may be thinking that they have seen their god in those who serve. Those who serve would be thinking that their life became blessed after getting an opportunity to serve the needy.”

ALLERGIC MEDIA, WARPED OPPOSITION & SICKLY SECULARISTS

There was a hue and cry over Bhagwat’s remarks coming out of the mouths of many media people, opposition members and secularists who are allergic to t the word Hinduism, avers to the concept of Hindu Rashtra, express outrage to the hear the letters RSS, falsely accuse Hindus as Saffron terrorists and turn their blind eye to the Islamic terrorism. They also openly criticized Ghar Wapsi program where Hindus converted handful of Muslims back to their mother religion. But the same people have no objection when Pope Paul wanted to plant the cross over Asia and convert India into a Christian country, when minority educational institutions convert Hindus into Christianity, force students to read Bible in the public institutions, and adopt all kind of false methods to woo Hindus into their fold.

What do Critics say about Bhagwat’s statement?

Sunita Kumar, a spokeswoman for the Missionaries of Charity, told the Indian news channel NDTV that Mr. Bhagwat was “ill-informed.” She said that “her only motive was to serve the poor and give them love and care.”  “For several years there was criticism, and her only reaction used to be, ‘Let’s pray for them,’ ” Ms. Kumar said. This amounts to her confession of mischief for refusing to answer the critics.

Sachin Pilot, Congress Party leader, criticized Bhagwat by saying, “By giving these kind of statements, they (the RSS) are trying to create a religious divide. Mother Teresa comes from which religion does not matter, what matters most is the service she provided to the poor.”

Arvind Kejriwal said, “She was a noble soul,” he wrote, adding, “Please spare her” (abbreviating the word “please”).

Karan Thapar also criticized Bhagwat demanding an apology for saying that Mother Teresa has converted people into Christianity in the name of service. Thapar showed his bias and shed his objectivity as a journalist and was hiding the behind the false statistics. He became a prisoner to his own prejudices without ever knowing the real Mother Teresa who was wedded to the Roman Catholic Church and taking orders and surreptitiously following the missionary activities to convert.

Rajiv Shukla, another Congress Party leader, demanded BJP’s apology and said that Mother Teresa shouldn’t be insulted and this issue will be raised in the Parliament.

Many of these so called secularists don’t get it. Their minds were warped, their morals were tainted and their judgment was clouded. Rajdeep, Barkha, Hartosh, Shekhar Gupta, Chawla, Gosh and others were deliberately bypassing the real motive of the Mother Teresa’s mission, cunningly avoiding discussion on the Christian ideology of planning cross on Bharath, deceitfully ignoring the Bible’s advocacy to practice deception in serving the poor, and selling themselves to vested interests of the secularist’s dubious ideology, they praised Mother’s social work, while they were spiteful to the remarks made by RSS Chief.  Their comments only reveal their hypocrisy and double standards.

An example of hypocrisy is abundantly clear in the criticism of Bhagwat’s statement by Naveen Chawla. Meenkashi Lekhi’s response was very appropriate and shameful to the integrity, honesty and truthfulness of Naveen Chawla. He could not even remember what he has written about Mother Teresa in his own book. Many of these critics are opportunists who may have advocated the views of their bosses or former bosses, surrendered their professional integrity, or more interested in few minutes of media limelight.  They do not even bother to even look at the mission of the missionaries and refuse to open their eyes and to read what happened behind the closed doors of the Missionary house.  Lekhi observed, “I read your book in the 90s but my memory still serves me right in tracking your words on this issue. From your book – Page 66 of your book (for crystal clear clarity, middle paragraph, last two lines) – “Theirs was a religious society, not social work. It was charity for Christ in the poor.” Your book also states (in the same paragraph) that this organization has a set of 275 rules called ‘The Constitutions’ of the Missionaries of Charity’, a religious governing document. The Mother Teresa of Calcutta Center says on its website devotional materials are distributed to the poor in the course of their work. Why is this fact being contested then?” Chawla could not even remember his own words.

Critics are missing the Boat

With all the hype and hoopla created by secular media, Opposition leaders, with all their shouting and screaming, they have lost their balanced judgment. They have not addressed the real issues raised by Bhagwat. They refuse to investigate the issue at hand and even know what he said. The mere words such as Hindu, Mohan Bhagwat, RSS, VHP, and now Narendra Modi create tidal waves of acrimony and hatred among the media, liberals, Congress Party, secularists and other subversives. Can they answer any of the following questions?

Did she do the seva without expecting something in return?
Was she engaged in missionary work or not?
Did she say ever that she was doing the work of Jesus?
Did she say conversion is an accepted ideal for her missionary work in India and around the world?
Did she not follow the Bible in deceiving the people around the world, especially the liberal media and opposition leaders?

Mother Teresa herself acknowledges that conversions are ‘‘beautiful.” She herself said, ”We are now in 105 countries and we have XXX converts, not including India… ah… beautiful” If she has not done missionary work, would she be given Sainthood by Catholic Church in Rome by the Pope. In fact the Catholic Church fast tracked the process to canonize her with sainthood.
And yet, Mohan Bhagwat is not allowed to question her saintliness? He can’t question her motives?

Critics of Bhagwat are missing the point. One may argue that she made life easier and more comfortable for some of those people while others may argue that medical standards were so poor that they probably contributed to a quicker death for many people also. What people are questioning is whether her actions were truly altruistic or highly missionary.  There’s a clear difference between the two.

All her admirers argue that she was the only person to have cared for the poor in India. This is an affront to the thousands of people in India who have given up their home comforts to care for the poor and less-privileged – those who do their work with no expectation of reward. Just because her admirers refuse to see the unselfish work toward poor without ever converting one person to Hinduism, it doesn’t mean they don’t exist and they have not done. Many Hindu organizations and numerous Ashrams are not interested drumming up their activities in the media and hold babies in front of cameras. They do not put up a show to the world to attract huge sums of money to be misused and avoid transparency.

Would the critics question the honest assessment of Mahatma Gandhi on the nature and conversion tactics of Christians? This is the parody of the media and liberals. They are the most misfortune of the country. It is time to expose them. Would they criticize Mahatma Gandhi for his observation of the Christians? No. They shut their mouth as if the history of India started with Mohan Bhagwat’s statement.  Let us see what Gandhiji said of the conversions: “It is impossible for me to reconcile myself to the idea of conversion after the style that goes on in India and elsewhere today. It is an error which is perhaps the greatest impediment to the world’s progress toward peace. Why should a Christian want to convert a Hindu to Christianity? Why should he not be satisfied if the Hindu is a good or godly man? (Harijan: January 30, 1937). Are there any critics left with commonsense to decipher what Gandhiji?  Do they have the capacity to absorb the message? Would their rancor ever stop?

Achievements are overplayed

All her admirers, unified Christian organizations, and liberal media appear to have conspired to overplay her achievements at the expense of Hindu benevolence and tolerance.  Aroup Chatterjee gives evidence that the Missionaries of Charities has always overplayed the number of people it has helped. He mentions several tragic incidents such that the Bhopal gas disaster in 1984 when the Missionaries of Charities and Mother Teresa tried to take credit for helping victims. But what she did was to visit Bhopal along with couple of her colleagues and suggest that all the victims needed to do was “forgive”. She was not interested in helping the poor and not donated money to help the victims. Chatterjee even pointed out that locally in Calcutta, Missionaries of Charities is not known to be a particularly important player in the area of providing assistance to the needy.

Who is a missionary?

Since Mother Teresa cam to India to do missionary work, then we need to understand the meaning and definition of “mission” before we can assess her real motive behind her work. If we look at the definition of the missionary, what missionaries do and how they meticulously follow the ideals of Missionary work, it is obvious that the missionary work is done with selfish nature to convert the people into Christianity. Their mission overwhelmingly support the claim that Mohan Bhagwat made about her real intention behind her work. They are not engaged in selfless service. Motive is only to convert, not to do pure service. There is no nishkama karma.

Jesus commands all Christians to share the Gospel, the message of His death and resurrection that conquered the penalty and power of sin.

Encyclopedia of Britannica defines, “Mission, in Christianity, an organized effort for the propagation of the Christian faith.”

Dictionary.com defines the missionary as “a person strongly in favor of a program, set of principles, etc., who attempts to persuade or convert others.”

Oxford Dictionary defines, “A person sent on a religious mission, especially one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country.”

The Free Dictionary defines missionary as, “1. One who is sent on a mission, especially one sent to do religious or charitable work in a territory or foreign country. 2. One who attempts to persuade or convert others to a particular program, doctrine, or set of principles; a propagandist.”

What the Bible says about the spreading of Gospel and baptizing.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).

Mathew 10: 16-18, “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles.”

Mark 16:15-18; King James Version (KJV)

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Does anyone really believe that a Christian missionary WASN’T preaching, that Christ is the only way to heaven? That’s what missionaries do. She is on record saying that the poor need to accept their lot and get on with dying and experience the suffering the way Jesus suffered.  Is the mission is to see the poor die or help them with proper medicines and keep them comfortable with adequate medicines. “The poor should remain poor … Without them, we will lose our jobs.”  Sister Nirmala, Mother Teresa’s Successor.

Poor deserves to be poor

Mother Teresa believed and stated, “I think it is very beautiful for the poor to accept their lot, to share it with the passion of Christ. I think the world is being much helped by the suffering of the poor people.”

She was famous and had lots of money, dictators and famous friends, lots of ‘work’ but she was never associated with anyone getting well. There were no grateful people who received help at her hand. The news was full of stories about her work with the poor and sick but no stories of success or staunch gratitude. Because of her I took notice that none of the religious were getting well. If they got sick, they died. None of the praying stuff seemed to work, no matter who was doing it. This was a seminal moment of epiphany in my path to anti-theism.

Mother Teresa used the media effectively and skillfully to hide the real missionary work and wanted poor to suffer instead of providing comfortable life with proper medications. “There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains much from their suffering,” was her response to criticism of her work. Did Mother Teresa provide adequate health and medical care for the sick and poor?

According to Mother Teresa’s strange philosophy, it is “the most beautiful gift for a person that he can participate in the sufferings of Christ”. Once she tried to comfort a screaming sufferer: “You are suffering, that means Jesus is kissing you!”The man got furious and screamed back: “Then tell your Jesus that he should stop kissing me!” Do we have to be grateful to be the victims of this very special kind of charity? Do we have to tolerate that ignorant and helpless people are used as extras in the inhumane and cruel religious drama of the beauty of suffering in Christ?

Deception is allowed to convert in Christianity.

Apostle Paul openly admits that used deception to convert people from other religion to Christianity. He lied and acted deceptively. He was like a chameleon changing colors to fit the occasion. That means if he meets Jew, he would act like a Jew; and meets a poor, he would act like poor only to convert others into Christianity. No morals, no ethics, no scruples and no principles are observed. Look at the third world countries.  In fact,Thomas Jefferson was very critical of Christianity and its coercive and deceptive practices. “Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth.” In Christianity, no reason, no debate, no dialogue, no persuasion and no discussion is encouraged. Puppets act according the whims and fancies of the puppeteers. The missionaries are like puppets in the hands of the Church, or the Roman Catholic Church or Pope who control their thinking, their activities, their future salvation, and their tactics to convert other people. They have no independence or freedom to act. The missionaries are no more than puppets in the hands of their Church and or Pope.

Let us look at what Paul says about the deception he used to convert people. Since that time, he became role model for Mother Teresa and many other similar evangelists. “Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.” – 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.

Western Scholars’ Realistic Assessment of Mother Teresa

Mohan Bhagwat’s comments were too mild, too civil, too trivial, too pale when one compares with the truthful observations of Christopher Hitchens who said that Mother Teresa’s work with the poor is done not for its own sake, but to “propagandize one highly subjective view of human nature.” She is “a religious fundamentalist, a political operative, a primitive sermonizer and accomplice of worldly secular powers.” Furthermore, she is “a demagogue, an obscurantist and a servant of earthly powers.” She keeps company with “frauds, crooks and exploiters,” and takes in millions of unaccounted for dollars. She rarely used these dollars to improve the lives of the poor, improve the physical facilities at the buildings, modernize the medical facilities, and hire the most qualified medical professionals. Hitchens was thousand times more critical than Bhagwat when he said, “She was a fanatic, a fundamentalist, and a fraud, and a church that officially protects those who violate the innocent has given us another clear sign of where it truly stands on moral and ethical questions.”

Christopher Hitchens said that Mother Teresa “was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction.” When she made the poor suffer, she was expecting the poor to suffer like Jesus thus smearing the Christian values on them. Instead of doing selfless service to the poor and improve their health, she tried to follow her Christian missionary ideal.

Walter Wuellenweber, writing in Stern magazine observed that the patients in unbearable pain were refused strong painkillers, in spite of her millions of dollars and abundant medical supplies, purely based on her Christian principle. “The most beautiful gift for a person is that he can participate in the suffering of Christ,” said Mother Teresa. Once she had tried to comfort a screaming sufferer, “You are suffering, that means Jesus is kissing you.” The sufferer screamed back, furious, “Then tell your Jesus to stop kissing me.” According to the author, Mother Teresa’s obsession with her Christian missionary zeal, she hung up the message outside her house: “Tell them we are not here for work, we are here for Jesus. We are religious above all else. We are not social workers, not teachers, not doctors. We are nuns.”

Bruno Maddox summarized the book “The Missionary Position: Mother Theresa in Theory and Practice” by saying that, “Mother Teresa is less interested in helping the poor than in using them as an indefatigable source of wretchedness on which to fuel the expansion of her fundamentalist Roman Catholic beliefs.”

Germaine Greer wrote, “In the Heroes and Villains series in The Independent’s Magazine for 22 September 1990 I nominated Mother Teresa as my villain. It was not her motivation that I questioned. That was always crystal clear. She cared for the poor of Calcutta not for love of them or out of commitment to any ideal of social justice, but for love of Christ.”

Colette Livermore, former Missionary of Charity member for 11 years, exposed some of the problems in her book “Hope Endures: Leaving Mother Teresa, Losing Faith, and Searching for Meaning” stated that “I had given all I had to live Mother Teresa’s ideal of ‘serving Christ in the distressing disguise of the poor’ but had left her order in 1984 disillusioned and far short of wholeness. My youthful belief and ideals had not withstood the realities of that life.”

Maria Wirth observed, “Missionaries try by hook or crook to get converts and target especially the lower classes and even children. It seems as if they have a quota to achieve. They claim that Christianity is the right faith and Hinduism very wrong. The phrase “divisive forces” is used freely in India, but strangely I have not heard it in connection with missionaries where it were appropriate…. And if conversion is not restrained, together with her children, Bharat may lose her integrity. Truth will have no place anymore.”

Vir Sanghvi captured the argument of the so called secularists when he said that the “view of Mother Teresa as a secular social worker is also bogus. She once famously said, “I am not a social worker,” and made it clear that her mission was to spread the word of Jesus Christ. If the Missionaries of Charity picked up abandoned babies whose religion was not immediately apparent, they brought them up as Christians.

What do Christian missionary do? Convert and destroy Indigenous Cultures.

Christian missionaries go in obedience to God’s call. God called the apostle Paul, “to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles— to whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me” (Acts 26:16-18).

Since their goal is to multiply and convert as many people as possible, Christian Missionaries will not hesitate to distort, deceive and defame others in order to propagate their religion. Their devious tactics break every fundamental rule or human decency.

Mother Teresa was following scrupulously the commands of John Pope Paul II at the time who espoused the Christian philosophy by proclaiming that the Christians should remember to follow the truth of the Gospel, without which the work of Church would be meaningless. “As vicars and legates of Christ, you are called above all to offer a clear and vigorous proclamation of the Gospel,” said the Pope.

Wikipedia observed that, Mother Teresa encouraged members of her order to baptize dying patients, without regard to the individual’s religion. In a speech at the Scripps Clinic in California in January 1992, she said: “Something very beautiful… not one has died without receiving the special ticket for St. Peter, as we call it. We call baptism ticket for St. Peter. We ask the person, do you want a blessing by which your sins will be forgiven and you receive God? They have never refused. So 29,000 have died in that one house [in Kalighat] from the time we began in 1952.”
Our task in life, Mother Teresa would say, is to bring Jesus to others. Since Jesus is God, He wants to continue working the miracles He began performing during His visible stay in Palestine. He wants especially to work miracles in the conversion of sinners and in bringing stray sheep back to the fold. Mother Teresa’s message is clear. Ask Our Lady to make Jesus use us to go around the world connecting the hearts of men with the current, who is Jesus. “Pray and work daily,” she tells the Missionaries of Charity, “that all may become followers of Christ.”

Dr. Adel Elsaie, in his book, Please Revise the Bible, Again observed, “In the homes for the dying, Mother taught the sisters how to secretly baptize those who were dying. Sisters were to ask each person in danger of death if he wanted a ‘ticket to heaven’. An affirmative reply was to mean consent to baptism. The sister was then to pretend she was just cooling the person’s forehead with a wet cloth, while in fact she was baptizing him, saying quietly the necessary words. Secrecy was important so that it would not come to be known that Mother Teresa’s sisters were baptizing Hindus and Muslims.”

The Lausanne Congress of 1974, defined the term, related to Christian mission as, “to form a viable indigenous church-planting movement”. Missionaries can be found in many countries around the world.

Jesus instructed the apostles to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20, Mark 16:15–18). This verse is referred to by Christian missionaries as the Great Commission and inspires missionary work.

An expert on Teresa, Dr. Aroup Chatterjee submitted a Deposition before the committee for beatification/canonization of Mother Teresa: under this covering, “Mother of All Myths”. In this Deposition, Dr. Chatterjee pointed out, “Christians in a particular slum have food cards, when hardly any of the poor from the other religions have them. This policy gives the lie to Mother Teresa’s assertions that she treated the poor from all faiths equally. On the issue of bias toward Catholicism, I would also like to tell the Committee that worship inside Mother Teresa’s homes is solely Catholic, and non-Catholic worship is not at all permitted therein.”

Christians have destroyed the indigenous cultures. Pope Paul himself unashamedly proclaimed that they have converted Europe in the first millennium, Africa in the second millennium and wanted to plant the cross over Asia in the third millennium. By doing so, not only they converted locals to Christianity, thy have destroyed the local rich and meaningful culture to be replaced by the bloody and brutal religion.

THOMAS PAINE said: “Of all the systems of religion that were ever invented, there is none more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory in itself, than this thing called Christianity. Too absurd for belief, too impossible to convince, and too inconsistent for practice, it renders the heart torpid, or produces only atheists and fanatics.”

The Play entitled “The Missionary Position” Exposes Missionaries.

Athena Ashton, the writer of the play “The Missionary Position,” who has studied Sanskrit and Yoga under a great Indian Scholar was appalled by the destruction of Indian heritage by missionary activity which not only negated all that was beautiful and rich about Indian Philosophy and Mythology buy usurped part of it as their own but ” belonging to Christianity”. She also saw how Christian missionary activity was primarily directed at Hindus in India but used propaganda against Muslims and Hindus to divide them. In Africa it was used for political power and natural resource exploitation through conversion. The play has been highly praised for an original and illuminating exposure from a European point of view into the activities of missionaries in India, China and other Asian countries as part of Gospel 2000 following mass conversions of indigenous peoples in Africa and Latin America.

“A powerful expose of the cancer of Christian missionaries and their conversion and sexual predatory activities that has decimated most African and Latin American cultures and is now threatening the Chinese state after contaminating India.” – Theatre Review

“The young English playwright Athena Ashton who has investigated the phenomenon of fake Christian conversions across three continents has written a deep and profound play with huge political and cultural implications for several indigenous cultures that are now vanishing under the onslaught of a religion now almost defunct in Europe”-Buddhist World

We need to congratulate Mohan Bhagwat for raising the issue of the motivation behind the missionary work of Mother Teresa. In fact we need to investigate all Christian Churches to find out their tactics to woo and trap the Hindus to get converted. It is time to discuss openly the tricks the Christians play and politics they engage in trying to convert Hindus into Christianity. The perverted media, selfish Congress leaders, and Hindu haters will raise their voice and smear mud on the efforts to preserve the Hindu culture. They go any extent to brand Hindus as Saffron terrorists and scream all over the media to divide the Hindu community to please the Christians. They play the victim card by saying that they are being discriminated. The government should repeal all the laws that give them special privileges in the educational institutions, and remove quotas in employment opportunities. Government should create special cell to investigate the people who get converted to find the reasons. It is foolhardy to think that the illiterate get converted to Christianity without numerous incentives and also why such a high rate of conversion among college students attending Christianity educational institutions.

Let us conclude this paper by remembering the words of Nietzsche, “it is Christianity, let us not doubt, and Christian valuations, which convert every revolution into a carnival of blood and crime! Christianity is a revolt of all creatures that creep on the ground against everything that is lofty: the gospel of the “lowly” lowers….” Christianity remains to this day the greatest misfortune of humanity.”
