Hindu activistis asking local police station about the complaint lodged by Sou. Swati Jitendra Bapat

Purushottam Khedekar had passed very scabrous remarks against Brahmin Society and Brahmin ladies in his books ‘Marathyanche Ramdasikaran’ and ‘1857che Brahman Puran’ due to his perverse anti-brahmin sentiments. Hence a case was registered against him for that in the High Court and the Judge Mrudula Bhatkar has found him guilty in that case. She has also made a mention in her verdict asking Khedekar to apologise unconditionally.

Accordingly Khedekar has filed an affidavit in the court. This information was given in the press conference held at Patrakar Bhavan on 20th March. President of Devgad Brahman Swabhiman Manch, Shri. Uday Bapat, Acting Editor of the fortnightly ‘Amhi Sare Brahman’, Shri. Bhalchandra Kulkarni, and a social worker from Thane Shri. Dilip Aloni were present there.

Sou. Swati Bapat, Shri. Uday Bapat and their associates from Devgad (District Sindhudurga) gave a great fight in the court in this connection. (O Hindus, be prepared in all the ways to give fight like this against those tarnishing your image ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Shri. Khedekar has stated in his affidavit, that

1. I have apologised unconditionally to the Brahmin ladies and I am assuring them that henceforth I will never write like this. I will be deleting the controversial matter from the publications and that will not be published any more. I also assure you that, there will not be any matter in my books which will trigger rift in any of the sections in the society in future.

2. I have published a humble statement in the November 2014 issue of the Monthly, ‘Maratha Marg’ published from Nagpur on behalf of Maratha Mahasangh. In that I have apologised without any reservations to all the ladies along with the ladies from the Brahmin community and I am assuring that henceforth in future I will not write anything objectionable. I am removing the controversial books from the market.
