Hindu New Year celebrated by HJS at Chopda with gusto

Chopda (Maharashtra) : A procession was organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti after worshipping Gudi on the occasion of Gudipadwa.

Shri. Sunil Songire of Swarajya Nirman Sena performed the worship of Gudi along with his wife. Priest of Hanuman temple, Ravi Maharaj led the worship. Bhajani group from Lasur Bardi participated in the procession organised later. The procession, which started by worshipping the picture of Shriram at Shivaji Chowk terminated at Shriram temple at Gandhi Chowk after taking the main road as its route. Many people showered petals on the procession.

Later, Shri. Sudhakar Choudhari of Samiti narrated the importance of Gudipadwa. Shri Alok Maharaj of Balaji Mandir elaborated the importance of Hindu culture. More than seven hundred devout Hindus participated in the procession.
