Be wary of BJP : Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav tells youth

Hitting out at the BJP, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said that the youth must be “wary” of the saffron party, which he alleged was “instigated fights” among people.

He was speaking during a ‘Sadbhavana Rally’ rally at Falavada town, 30 kms from the district headquarters here. The chief minister also laid foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 500 crore in the district.

Referring to a remark made by US President Barack Obama’s during his visit to India, Akhilesh said, “the President of world’s most powerful country taught lessons to those who poison communities, that it is the Constitution which is supreme in the country.”

“Youth should be wary of BJP as they make people fight while ‘Samajwadi’ are helpful,” he claimed.

The chief minister also declared his government’s plans to develop ‘bunkar bazaar’ (weavers market) in three cities namely Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Noida, spending Rs 600 crore for artisans to provide bigger markets for them.

During his 90-minute speech, he reiterated about the Rs 700 crore provision in the budget for farmers and observing 2015-16 as the “Kisan Year”.

Akhilesh said efforts will be made to provide 16 hours of electricity per day in rural areas and 22-24 hours in urban areas by 2016.
