Scientist Dr. John Mather

Mumbai : We have to face serious problems and changes in nature like increasing temperature of Earth, more intense form of Sun, paucity of fuel etc. due to which surviving on Earth will be an ordeal for human being, stated Dr. John Mather, a Scientist and Nobel Laureate. On the occasion of National Science Day celebrated at Nehru Centre, Worli, he was talking to students through Skype.

Dr. Mather said,

1. The stock of natural resources will be over by the year 2022. Seas will become acidic due to chemical processes. The level of sea-water will also rise.

2. There is likelihood of increase in intensity of Sun’s light and temperature on Earth will be unbearable.

3. It is therefore, necessary to increase research in the field of Astronomy.
