‘Dharma-prasar’ activities of HJS undertaken during January 2015 in Odisha State

1. Response to Sanatan Panchang : ‘Sanatan Panchangs ( calendars)’ for 2015 were sold in Odisha State in Udia, Hindi and English languages which received good response. Many people called up for ‘Panchangs’ in Udia language.

2. ‘Sanatan Panchang’s Android AP in Oriya language was released for people by Brahmachari Bansivadan Das of ‘Gaudia Sampradaya’ : On 12.1.2015, ‘Sanatan Panchang’s Android AP in Udia language was released at ‘Jayashree Damodar Gaudia Mutt’ by Brahmachari Bansivadan Das of ‘Gaudia Sampradaya’. He said, “Points on Dharmacharan and Dharmajagruti explained in the ‘Panchang’ were quite inspiring for Hindus. Activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha are very important and we will extend support to them.”

3. Brahmachari Uttam Krushna Das of Gaudia Mutt presents 46 books on ‘Dharma’ published by Gaudia Sampradaya to ‘Adhyatma Vishwavidyalaya’ : Learning about the proposed nature of University at Goa, its objectives and activities, Brahmachari Uttam Krushna Das of ‘Jayashri Damodar Gaudia Mutt’, presented 46 books on ‘Dharma’ published by Gauida Sampradaya to ‘Adhyatma Vishwavidyalaya’. Books published by Sanatan Sanstha on Dharma in Udia language were presented to Gaudia Mutt on this occasion.

4. Tour undertaken by Sanatan Sanstha’s H. H. (Sou) Anjali Gadgil and seekers’ research group to Odisha ! : A group comprised of H. H. (Sou) Anjali Gadgil and 4 seekers of Sanatan Sanstha have been touring various places, temples, ashrams etc. which are important from spiritual and cultural point of view and conducting research for past 6 months. In January 2015, this group visited Odisha for about 3 weeks. During their tour, they visited temples, mutts, spiritual and cultural centres at Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Puri, Alarnath, Sakshi Gopal, Kakatpur, Konark, Chilika, Gonasika, Jajpur, Baleshwar, Ghatagaon etc. They also visited places compiling information, books, VCDs, pictures etc. related to different forms of art like traditional dance, dramas, paintings, sculptures etc.

During this visit, they came in contact with more than 70 people e.g. temples’ priests, managers, artists, organizations and devout Hindus who were explained about various activities undertaken by Sanatan Sanstha and HJS and presented ‘Sanatan Panchang- 2015’; besides brochures on Sanatan and HJS. Many of them showed interest in extending help in the activities.
