Devout Hindus present at Dharmajagruti Sabha

Marcaim (Goa):
The Hindu community of Goa, the land of sage Parashuram and God, are struck by various problems such as, more than 10 incidents of temple desecration in the recent past; passive Congress State government that has been unsuccessful in punishing the culprits guilty of temple desecration; rise in the incidences of conversion of faith, blind emulation of the western culture, etc. The situation of Hindus elsewhere is also not different. In this context, devout Hindus of Goa resolved to awaken their Hindu tej at the public ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ on the divine Shaktipeeth of Marcaim, where Mahadevi Sree Navadurga had manifested. Inspite of facing severe opposition and the venue of the Sabha changing at the last minute, 5500 Hindus united in a revelation of Hindu unity.

The Dharmasabha held at the Panchayat Ground, Marcaim was conducted in an atmosphere charged with energy and divine consciousness in the holy presence of saints. The Sabha had been initially arranged at the Goa Engineering College ground with due adherence to all formalities and procedures. However, it had to be conducted at Marcaim Panchayat ground due to the last minute refusal of permission on 30th January at 5 pm by the Principal and Additional Secretary of GCE Dr. Krishna M. Gupt. Despite the last minute change of venue, devout Hindus remained present for the Sabha in large numbers, a fact which is evident of their active support to the mission of protecting Hindu Dharma.

Hindus can fight for justice: meet

Ponda, Goa  — Claiming that India could lose its identity if Hindus were under threat, P P Brameshanand Swami of Tapobhoomi on Friday claimed that Hindus had every right to fight for their cause.

"If things don't go right for the Hindus in India, what is wrong if they protest? Atrocities on Hindus are increasing in areas like Jammu and Kashmir and it is high time that the Hindu community is united to stop such attacks on Hindus," said the Swami, while  addressing a largely attended Hindu Dharma Jagruti Sabha at Marcaim panchayat grounds.Noting that it was not anti-religious to retaliate against atrocities on Hindus, the Swami, however, remarked that Hindus are largely dormant and added that such Hindu Sabhas are needed to motivate the community to preserve and promote their faith.

In his address, Dr Durgesh Samant, spokesman of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) criticised the Centre on Ram Sethu issue and also rebuked the State government for failing to stop the desecration of deities in the State. Condemning the arrest of Sanathan Prabhat Editor Prithviraj Hazare in Ramnathi-Ponda by the Meeruj police on Thursday, Dr Samant said the government should instead have arrested M F Hussein for his controversial paintings. "All these atrocities are taking place with a motive to suppress Hinduism," Dr Samant said.

Jayesh Thali of the HJS condemned the State government for failing to allow the Hindu Dharma Jagruti Sabha to be staged at the GCE grounds at Farmagudi. Sean Clarke, Chairman of Spiritual Science Research Foundation, Australia, claimed that the teachings of the Sanathan Saunstha were universal in nature. "Though I'm a Christian, my questions on spirituality were answered by the Sanathan Saunstha. Their teachings are vital for lasting peace and progress," he said.

Other speakers included South Goa Chief of RSS Kautuk Bale, Brahmachari Kedar Chaitainya (Acharya of Chinmaya Mission, Ponda), Bhajrang Dal's Margao Chief Jayesh Naik and Dr Manoj Solanki of the Sanathan Saunstha. Incidentally, while Shiroda MLA Mahadev Naik was present at the gathering, both MLAs Sudin and Deepak Dhavlikar did not turn up, even though they had earlier supported the organization of the meeting.

Attempts made by anti-Hindus to cancel the Dharmasabha

On 3rd January, approximately 1 month prior to the Dharmasabha, the HJS had furnished a permission letter to the Goa Engineering College seeking its permission for holding the Dharmasabha on the college ground. In this regard, the college principal asked the HJS to get sanction from the political diplomat related to the college. Accordingly, the HJS members contacted Shri. Dayanand Narvekar, Congress minister, who gave his approval for holding the Sabha on the college ground, on a government letter with his name on it through fax. The HJS members furnished the minister’s approval letter to the college principal who then attached it to the HJS’s application file and forwarded the same for the government’s sanction. Thereafter, on 30th January, i.e after 26 days and just 2 days prior to the Dharmasabha, the principal conveyed to the HJS through a letter that the Sabha should not be conducted on the college ground. (Lethargic working of the GCE’s principal! One can only imagine how lethargic will the engineers groomed by authorities of such engineering colleges be! – Editor)

(O Hindus, Remember these Hindu-hater communists, for appealing to the governing authorities to stay away from the religious meets of Hindus, at the time of the religious revolution! - Editor)

Speeches of Dignitaries

The Path of Hindutva is full of thorns ! – Kautuk Bale, District Chief RSS, South Goa

That treading on the Path of Hinduism is one of thorns is easily explained by today’s change of venue of the dharmasabha (religious rally) suddenly from Phonda to Madkai. There are no words left to express disgust for the government. It is indeed shameful that when a developed country like the US  is studying the life of Lord Ram India talks of demolishing the bridge (Ramsetu) constructed by Him. The only purpose behind the demolition of the Ramsetu is a deep seated conspiracy, to destroy the  Bharatiya culture. Several scientists and recently the Indian Coast Guard Chief has expressed  fear that the effects of demolition of this Ramsetu will be dangerous.Yet the process has not stopped. Working for preserving Hinduism is a palanquin of Hindutva which we will have to carry on our shoulders with a pure antahkaran.

‘To destroy jihadi terrorism we need a Shivaji in every Hindu household ! – Madgao Chief of Bajrang Dal, Shri Jayesh Naik

Wielding a sword Jayesh Naik said, “Today Hindus need to act. Each one had to be equipped to fight injustice. In the times to come Goa will become a centre for jihadi activities and all of us will become the focus of this terrorism . That is precisely why  all Hindus need to forget their differences and need to join hands to form a common platform to combat injustice against us. To fight the jihadi terrorism which is disrupting our national economy and society we need to produce a  Shivaji in every household!

To be able to protect the nation and dharma doing spiritual practice is mandatory ! – Dr. Manoj Solanki, Sanatan Sanstha

Only if an individual does spiritual practice will he receive divine help and will the state of the nation and religion change. To be able to follow religion  the path of rituals (karmakand) is an easy path. One gets spiritual experiences if one does spiritual practice after understanding the science behind it. It is essential to overcome personality defects and the ego too. That is why after practising religion one becomes deserving of divine grace and then it becomes easier to do spiritual practice for spiritual upliftment of society (samashti sadhana).

Not practising religion is a shame for Hindus ! – Acharya Brahmachari Kedar Chaitanya  of the Chinmay Mission, Phonda

People professing other religions will never agree to getting converted to another religion because they practise their religion. But massive conversion of Hindus is going on because were are non-practising Hindus. This is indeed very shameful. I applaud the volunteers of the HJS who despite all the obstacles work fearlessly towards this cause..We need to raise  funds to assist our poor brethren because financial difficulties is one of the causes for their embracing other religions.

We shall not tolerate attacks on Hinduism anymore – Dr. Durgesh Samant ,  National Convenor, HJS

Efforts are continuing at the state, national amnd international level systematically to destroy Hinduism. Mercenaries are being deputed to assassinate Hindu leaders through jihadi terrorists. Opposing the rally of the HJS and arrest of the editor of Sanatan Prabhat is a demonstration of this hatred for Hindus. Hindus need to ponder on this. We shall certainly not tolerate such attacks on our religion anymore.

The rally for the welfare of all mankind – H.H. Brahmeshanandswami, Pithadish, Shri Kshetra Tapobhumi

First let me applaud the HJS for organising this rally even in adverse circumstances, for awakening religious sentiment in Hindus. It is such organisations which will form the Bharat of tomorrow. Each one needs to show such pride for religion in his own territory. Today’s rally is an answer to all those who are attacking our religion, temples and hermitages, to all haters of Hinduism and all those who are trying to malign Hinduism.

The Goa State Co-ordinator of the HJS Shri Jayesh Thaly when describing the activities of the HJS, vehemently protested against the Goa government for refusing permission to hold the rally in Phonda, at the last moment without any valid reason. Despite meeting the Professor of the Goa Engineering College  Shri Gupt and the concerned ministers seven to eight times and doing all the required paper work the permission for the rally was refused only two days before the meeting. He also thanked all Hindu protagonists for attending the rally in large numbers despite a change in the venue. A group of people shouted anti-government slogans !

Need of the hour to preserve and propagate Sanatan Dharma, the most invaluable heritage of mankind - Sean Clarke, Editor of SSRF website

It is indeed an honour to be here with you. One of the most important aspects of the teachings of Sanatan that appealed to me was its Universal nature, that it is applicable to all of mankind regardless of race and culture. I am a Roman Catholic by birth. Since young I had a lot of questions about Spirituality which none of my parish priests could answer. All my questions were finally and comprehensively answered only by Sanatan, as per the science explained by Sanatan Dharma.

Thus I realized that the Sanatan Dharma culture was far more sophisticated than the Western culture from the perspective of the purpose of life and also that there was a clear science behind each of the things advocated by it. I therefore embraced it whole heartedly and found a positive change across all aspects of my life. Thus I came to realize that Sanatan Dharma is the most invaluable heritage, not only of Hindus or Indians but actually of the entire world. Preserving and propagating it is the need of the hour as Sanatan Dharma is the world’s only hope to lasting peace and progress and Righteousness, said Shri. Sean Clarke, Manager of the Spiritual Science Research Foundation and Editor of the website www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org

At this time, Shri. Sean Clarke provided information on the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF), a spiritual research organisation, registered in Australia in 2005 to explore the spiritual dimension and to present this information, which is basically Sanatan Dharma, to the world in a modern contemporary language. He also expressed that Google, the world’s most popular search engine has recognized the website and has given a number of popular keywords from the SSRF site a very high ranking. At this time, Dr. (Sau.) Nandini Samant, spiritual research advisor of the SSRF, read out to the audience the Marathi translation of Shri. Sean Clarke’s guidance talk.

Saints grace the rally with Their presence

Devotee of Lord Hanuman from Banda, Sindhudurg, H.H. Raghuvir , his wife  Sau. Lakshmi Naik, a saint from the Sanatan Sanstha H.H. Pethe aji, an ardent devotee of Santoshimata from Tiswadi taluka H.H. Lakshmiswaminimata and H.H. Hasabnisaji from the Sanatan Sanstha graced the rally with Their presence.

Highlights of the opposition faced at the Dharmasabha venue

  • On the 1st February morning, a HJS member noticed that, a mock denigrating effigy of H.H. Bramheshanand Swami was placed on the main road of Kundaim area. (Those who mock at saints and create obstacles during the Dharmasabha are heretics (Dharmadrohis). Teach them a lesson at the time of the religious revolution. - Editor) In this regard, after a person complained to the police, the police removed the effigy at around 11 am.
  • HJS volunteers who were distributing the Dharmasabha invitations door-to-door in Mardol area were treated with contempt by the rivals of H.H. Bramheshanand Swami Sampraday. Also, they expressed severe resentment against HJS for inviting H.H. Bramheshanand Swami for the Dharmasabha and threatened the HJS volunteers that they would express their opposition to H.H. Bramheshanand Swami by raising black flags at the Dharmasabha. (In the present times, when there is an urgent need for Hindu unity like never before, such Hindus who create differences in the Hindu community are fit to be killed at the hands of terrorists. - Editor)
  • On the 1st February morning, when some devout Hindus were travelling to the Dharmasabha venue from Mapusa, a few young boys at Marcaim threatened them saying, ‘Don’t attend the Dharmasabha. If you all attend it, we will teach you a lesson.’ (O Hindus, while conducting the huge mission of protecting Dharma, pay no heed to such silly threats. Go ahead with the mission of uniting Hindus! - Editor)
