Indian Army to probe distortion of Kashmir Map - Army Chief

June 2, 2006

General J J Singh, the Chief of Indian Army informed in the press conference that Indian Army is aware about the area that is under Indian rule; but CNN, BBC and CIA are distorting Indian map on their websites. Today he arrived at New Palace for felicitation function.

(This is a mark of success achieved by Hindu Jan-jaguri Samiti' (HJS). It is only due to grace of God that the Army Chief had to take note of such a small organization like HJS. It would be really fortunate if the other patriotic organizations get motivated to join its activities and follow the footsteps of HJS.- HJS Web Editor)

Gen. Singh further stated that there has been decrease in the terrorists' activities. The response received by them from the local populace is not as it used to be earlier, so they have lost self-control. The recent orchestratation of car explosions is an example. In the State of Kashmir, many youngsters are coming forward to join Armed Forces. There is transparency in the discussions held between India and Pakistan. Everyone is aware of the consequent action taken by both the countries. One can arrive at decisions only through discussions in peaceful atmosphere. India stands second in the world in terms of size of her armed forces, modernization, possession of latest arms, telecommunication system etc. Many youth are interested in joining armed forces; but their recruitment is done only as per their ability. It is more important to test their ability and capacity rather than their caste. It is a matter of pride that there is valuable participation of women in the Forces.
