Inauguration of Dharma Jagruti Sabha by 'Deepprajwalan' |
Mapusa (Goa): Hindu Dharma is being assaulted in various ways through the increase in the incidences of conversion of faith, attacks on Hindu temples, desecration of idols of deities, apathy of the government in taking action against anti-Hindus, etc. However, the Hindu community is passive due to lack of unity and practice of Dharma. Unity and Practice of Hindu Dharma have become the need of the hour in such unfavorable circumstances created due to a lack of the same. To achieve this end, a Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha was organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in Goa, which is known as the land of God or Sage Parashuram, to create religious awareness and unite the Hindu population of Goa.

Speeches of dignitaries
It is essential to ignite Dharmatej to restore Bharat to its past glory - H.H. Bramheshanand Swami
“It is essential to ignite Dharmatej to restore our nation to its past glory. This objective will surely be achieved through such Dharmasabhas. We should worship the ‘tej’ element in order to ignite Dharmatej within ourselves. Hindu Dharma is the worshipper of ‘tej’ (the fire principle). It is necessary to impress, on the minds of today’s youth, the importance of Hindu Dharma. To create divine consciousness in the nation, it is necessary to worship ‘tej’. This ‘tej’ is generated not from gratification of desires (bhog) but from regulation of desires (yoga) and sacrifice (tyaag). Every one of us should practice Dharma. Children should be given religious education. The youth should not sit idle. They should not lose control of their desires. They should practice Dharma and sustain it. While electing public representatives, choose those having a religious mindset and whose thoughts are related to Hindutva. HJS’ DharmaJagruti Sabha will generate the Dharmatej essential to stop the circus going on in the present times. This mission will assume a gigantic form in future,” expressed H.H. Bramheshanand Swami of the Padmanabh Sect, Tapobhoomi, Kundaim. We can fight against heretics only on the strength of spiritual practice! – Dr. Manoj Solanki, Sanatan Sanstha
We can change ourselves and others around us due to individual spiritual practice. Also, we can acquire God’s grace and work for the mission of religion and the nation. Even if 5% of the people in the society undertake suitable spiritual practice, they can win the battle with the heretics on the strength of their spiritual practice. Sanatan Dharma tells us what is suitable. It is because of the ritualistic worship prescribed by Dharma that the extremely subtle God principle enters into an idol. This principle must be respected. Study spirituality and understand the principles of Dharma. Spread spirituality. If we want to improve the condition of the nation and Dharma, then we must learn to sacrifice. We can undertake to serve Dharma in the best manner if we eliminate our defects and ego and acquire divine consciousness (chaitanya).
If Hindu Dharma becomes extinct, then the path of God-realisation itself will get hampered forever! – Dr. Durgesh Samant
“If the seat of one’s faith within one’s mind gets destroyed, then it can never be re-built. Hindu Dharma is facing the danger of extinction due to lack of its practice by Hindus and numerous foreign aggressions. If we continue to remain inactive, then Hindu Dharma will become extinct and this will be the biggest sin on earth; because if Hindu Dharma gets extinct, then the path of God-realisation itself will get hampered forever, and this shall be the biggest misfortune”, said HJS’ National Spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Samant. We do not realise that Dharma suffered badly due to blind emulation of the western culture and the influence of English education. Hindus do not practice Dharma because they are not given religious education, thus, they do not get spiritual experiences. This in turn leads to lack of faith in them, which has destroyed the moral values existing in the society. The nation has acquired a sorry state. If this situation has to change, then collective spiritual practice must be undertaken, appealed Dr. Durgesh Samant. Today the black British are plundering the nation’s wealth more than what the white British did in the pre-independence period. The supremacy of the MP’s, ministers, President, etc. is being maintained by hiking their salaries. Such is the plight of our nation. A deliberate conflict is being created between modern science and spirituality. It is evident from the example of Kashmir that the police and the military are incapable of protecting citizens. He finally appealed to the audience saying that the solution to all this is that each and every person becomes active.
