Free temples from Govt. control and hand over management of all Hindu temples to devotees ! – Sumit Sagavekar, HJS
Mumbai : Paschim Maharashtra Devasthan Samiti, that has control over 3067 temples from various districts, is involved in malpractices like not maintaining and getting accounts of the Devasthan Samiti audited, not keeping note of land in its possession etc. and misappropriation of funds worth billions of rupees.
Demonstrations were staged under aegis of Rashtriya Hindu Andolan on 24th January at 5.30 p.m. near Neel-Yoga Square Mall, Ghatkopar to protest against these malpractices. Members of many Hindu organizations participated in these demonstrations.
Shri. Sumit Sagavekar of HJS said that the Government should take immediate action against the guilty. Hindus’ temples should be released from Government’s control and handed over to devotees for managing.
Shri. Ganesh Patil, a Hindu activist from Bhandup said that we shall not tolerate attacks on seats of worship of Hindus. Members of Bajarang Dal, VHP, Shiva-karya Sanghatana (Vikroli), Shiva-swarajya Samvardhan Pratishthan, Hindu Rashtra Sena, Yoga Vedanta Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha and HJS were present on this occasion.
