Resolve to counter aggression on Hindu Dharma

Sawantwadi (Maharashtra): In the present times, Dharma is being attacked from all sides. In a situation where various attacks, such as denigration of deities; blind emulation of the western culture, etc. leading to a decline in the level of morality of the Hindu community; anti-Hindu laws being enacted by our pseudo-secular government; fast rising pace of conversion; demolishment of 'Sree Ram Setu', the symbol of religious faith of Hindus; the evil shadow of terrorism engulfing the Hindu society and their temples, are being perpetrated on Hindu Dharma, the Hindu society is passive, which is why the Hindus have to face humiliation in their own country too, let alone the rest of the world. Thus, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organised the Hindu DharmaJagruti Sabha with the sole objective of making Hindus aware of the dangers that the future holds in store for them, apart from providing them with religious education and equipping and uniting them to protect Dharma. More than 2,500 devout Hindus attended this Sabha and brought about a revelation of the combined Hindu strength and unity in the Sindhudurga locality.

The DharmaJagruti Sabha was organised on a ground near the Gymkhana Maidan, Sawantwadi from 5 pm to 7.30 pm. The Sabha was commenced in an atmosphere charged with divine consciousness due to the recitation of Vedic mantras by five Vedic Brahmins. Kirtanbhushan Shri. Dattadas Manerikarbuva inaugurated the Sabha by lighting the auspicious lamp (diya). Later, the honourable dignitaries were welcomed on stage. At this time, Shivsena MLA and Sindhudurga District Chief Shri. Parshuram Uparkar was welcomed by Sanatan’s Sindhudurga District Sevak Shri. Rajendra Patil. Ex-MLA of the NCP Shri. Pushpasen Sawant was welcomed by Vaidya Suvinay Damale from Kudal. BJP’s Dodamarg Taluka President Shri. Rajan Mhapsekar was welcomed by the BJYM’s Sindhudurga District General Secretary Shri. Anil Sawant. Kirtanbhushan Shri. Dattadas Manerikarbuva was welcomed by HJS’ Maharashtra State Hindu sanghatak Dr. Virendrasinha Tawde. Sanatan Sanstha’s Dr. Manoj Solanki was welcomed by HJS member Shri. Shankar Nikam. HJS’ National Spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Samant was welcomed by Sanatan Sanstha’s seeker Dr. Ramesh Pendharkar.

HJS' Kudal-Malvan Taluka co-ordinator Shri. Prakash Malondkar introduced the activities of the HJS, which has, in a short span of time, proven to be a lighthouse in relation to the mission of Hindu DharmaJagruti. The compeering of the Sabha was done by Shri. Ameya Mohite.

God helps one who undertakes individual spiritual practice! - Dr. Manoj Solanki, Sanatan Sanstha

In the present times, individual values have changed and everybody is struggling to get material happiness. The society does not have an ideal to follow. Individual Spiritual Practice (Vyashti Sadhana) means the efforts made for spiritual progress of an individual and Collective Spiritual Practice (Samashti Sadhana) means the efforts made for the spiritual progress of the society as a whole. It is important to celebrate festivals according to the science of Dharma. When an action is performed as per the science of Dharma, then it results in the development of faith (shraddha) and spiritual emotion (bhav) and there is a principle that ‘where there is spiritual emotion (Bhav), there is God (Dev) ’. If we undertake individual spiritual practice, God comes to our aid. If God graces us, only then can we do something for our nation and religion. Personality defects and ego can cause obstacles in the mission of creating awareness about Dharma (DharmaJagruti). Thus, it is essential to eliminate them. If the society is given religious education, then its purity and strength will increase. Thus, we shall be able to fight back heretics (Dharmadrohis)!

If you have pride for the nation, get equipped to change its present state! - Dr. Durgesh Samant

The Finance Minister of Kashmir has demanded for a different currency for the state of J&K, please comment in this regard? This suggestion was sent to me on stage through a note by someone amongst the audience. The fact that the Prime Minister of our country has not commented on this issue and yet a question is being asked regarding it in this Sabha, itself indicates that pride for the nation exists. Our present day politicians do not have the courage to act against those who challenge our national pride. The society should shed the belief that the nation itself is like this. If you all have pride for the nation, then get equipped to change its present state, was the appeal made by HJS’ National Spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Samant.

Conclusion of Dharmajagruti Sabha by offering 'Pasaydan'
While speaking about protection of national interests, Dr. Durgesh Samant said, do not rest till the poisonous roots of the attacks on Hindu Dharma are uprooted. We do not realise that the values of Dharma have stood the test of time; when an appeal to discard the old is made, we immediately get ready to discard our old values. This sorry state should change. A deliberate attempt is being made by intellectuals to create conflicts between science and spirituality, just like the ones that exist in the western countries. A false propaganda is being made that the one who follows the spiritual path is against science. The point to be noted here is that Hindu Dharma was never against science. There never existed a conflict between spirituality and science. This can be proved through many examples.

The society has lost it valour and violence has taken a strong hold therein. Dr. Samant also expressed that, if one lives in such a society and is moving in its direction, then one must contemplate on what one’s future will be.
