Pune (Maharashtra): The historic Shanivaarwada, which is a symbol of the Hindu pride, today witnessed a magnificent DharmaJagruti Sabha, that assured that the gigantic task, of creating awareness about Hindu Dharma amongst Hindus and uniting them, undertaken by the HJS shall surely bear fruit. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been organising the 'Hindu DharmaJagruti Sabha' at various places with the objective of impressing upon the Hindu minds the importance of 'Practice of Dharma and Hindu Unity' to combat the assaults on Hindu Dharma occurring through various mediums such as denigration of deities, enactment of anti-Hindu Acts, etc. This Sabha which commenced at 5.30 pm was attended by 5000 devout residents of Pune.

Anti-social elements threaten to foil Pune's DharmaJagruti Sabha!

If the speakers, at the DharmaJagruti Sabha organised by the HJS at the Shanivaarwada, attempt to relate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Samarth Ramdas Swami, then we shall foil the DharmaJagruti Sabha. Some anti-social elements expressed this threat in clear terms. However, this threat failed to create a stir at the Dharmasabha! On receiving the threat, devout Hindus lodged a complaint with the Vishrambaug Police Station. Later, the Chairman of the Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Smruti Samiti and a staunch Hindu of Pune, Shri. Milind Ekbote received an anonymous phone call at 10 am. The anti-Hindu caller threatened Shri. Ekbote saying, "We will blow up the Sabha if anybody relates Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Samartha Ramdas Swami in today's Dharmasabha." Thereafter, the devout Hindus of Pune again lodged a complaint with the Vishrambaug Police Station and demanded police protection. Accordingly, policemen were armed at the Shanivaarwada before the commencement of the Sabha. The police also deployed dog squads and metal detectors to check the entire venue of the Sabha along with the stage. In the context of the threat to blow up the Sabha, volunteers of the Pratapgad Utsav Samiti patrolled all around the Shanivaarwada.

The persons giving threats must have been baffled seeing the huge audience of devout Hindus! - Ramesh Shinde

'The persons giving anonymous threats must have been baffled seeing the audience of 5000 devout Hindus gathered for the Sabha without paying any heed to their threats'. This was the strong reaction expressed by HJS' Maharashtra State Spokesperson Shri. Ramesh Shinde at the Dharmasabha in the context of the threat to blow up the Sabha. He said that the threat received by the Dharmasabha accords it a Dharmayudha (war) too! He also expressed that the HJS aims at bringing together scattered Hindus on one platform and create religious awareness.

There is no alternative to the practice of Dharma ! - Ramesh Shinde

The society today does not practice Dharma due to undue influence of the Western culture. Incidences such as, not practising rituals as per the Hindu Dharma; keeping mum even if anyone makes derogatory remarks about Dharma and deities, are on the rise. The condition of Dharma is even worse as compared to that of the Nation. The religious pride of Hindus has vanished. The only factor responsible for this is the lack of religious education amongst Hindus! Another cause for this are the ignorant and atheist intellectuals and the ANIS members (Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti), who pollute the thought process of the society by unduly criticizing Hindu Dharma under the pretext of warding off evils present therein! HJS' Maharashtra State spokesperson Shri. Ramesh Shinde further said that to change this situation, it is imperative to provide religious education to the Hindu community, unite it and equip it adequately to combat the threats to Hindu Dharma.

'Sattvaguna' alone will reinforce faith in the Hindu Dharma! - Vinay Panwalkar

The practice of Vrats, Pujas, etc. results in the impression of sattvik qualities on the mind. This rise in the Sattvaguna results in the increased attainment of happiness by oneself and the entire society, thus reinforcing the society's faith in the Hindu Dharma. Vyashti Sadhana (Individual Spiritual Practice) carries extraordinary importance in the mission of protecting Dharma. God will help only if the Vyashti Sadhana of every Hindu goes on in the right manner and thereafter, the condition of Dharma and the Nation will surely improve for the best. To achieve this result, it is essential for every Hindu to strengthen the foundation of his Vyashti Sadhana, expressed Sanatan Sanstha's Prasarsevak, Shri. Vinay Panwalkar. The compering and vote of thanks of the Dharmasabha was done by HJS' Shri. Ameya Mohite. The Sabha was concluded by singing of the Pasaayadaan. After the Dharmasabha, a meeting of people interested in participating in the mission of Dharma is going to be held on 10th January at 7 pm at the Rahalkar Temple in Sadashiv Peth.

Overwhelming response to the publicity of Hindu Jagruti Sabha, Pune

The Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) is getting overwhelming response for their publicity given to the Hindu Jagruti Sabha from all over Pune. This propaganda will be stopped on Sunday afternoon. HJS has organised this Hindu Jagruti Sabha to oppose denigration of Deities, Anti-Hindus laws etc, for safeguarding Dhama and to make the Hindus aware of the importance of following Hindu Rituals and in order to Unite Hindus.

In order to create public awareness regarding the Sabha many big banners and posters are put up in various places in the city. They are also put up on the rickshaws. Thus the publicity has gained momentum. HJS has taken blessings from P.P. Bhaiyuji Maharaj for this task.

To revert the impact of the Western culture to establish the Hindu culture is the need of the hour - P.P. Bhaiyuji Maharaj

In a Press conference P.P. Bhaiyuji Maharaj stated that while in school we were given to study biographies of Great Men famous for their valour. Now-a-days the young generation is not able to read any of those books;as they are replaced by Miki-Mouse, Harry Potter and Tom and Jerry. As a result 'Valentine Day' would be more important than Makar Sankranti ( Hindu festival ) Hence to change this attitude Hindu customs and traditions have to be necessarily highlighted.

It is necessary to arouse Hindus to make the Dharmasabha successful - Opinion expressed by the Organisations working for Hindutva cause

Showing the attacks and the distress meted out to Hindus from all over they should be provoked. Then only there would be awareness and the said Sabha would be successful, was the opinion expressed by the Organisations working for Hindutva in the third meeting organised by them in Datta Mandir to follow up the progress made regarding the publicity. Shri. Babaji Savant of Shri. Sampraday, Deputy Chairman Bharatiy Kamgar Sena on the national level, Shri. Devramji Bhosale, P. Manoharanand Maharaj of Bhaktimarg Dnyan Sadhana Mandal, The Chief Secretary of Bharatiy Vidyarthi Sena, Shri. Bhavesh Thombre, Shri. Vasant Nayak of RSS, Shri. Vilas Belapurkar of

Ramesh Munj of Sanatan sanstha, the co-ordinator of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Mumbai, Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, invitees of Western Mumbai, Shri. Sadanand Panchal, Shri. Suresh Savant and other officers and activists were present there.

Deputy Chairman Bharatiy Kamgar Sena on the national level, Shri. Devramji Bhosale said in a meeting at Dahisar that if the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha is not successful then I shall not be able to call myself a Hindu; hence the propaganda should be on a grand scale. Shri. Vasant Nayak of RSS said that he would ask each branch of RSS to participate. The Chief Secretary of Bharatiy Vidyarthi Sena, Shri. Thombre said that Hindus do not have the religious awareness; hence they have to be aroused. We have to contact as many people as possible, advised P. Manoharanand. Shri. Babaji Savant of Shri. To strengthen the unity/dharma amongst Hindus and being proud to be a Hindu, it is important to make all Hindus aware that every Hindu treat another Hindu with respect, despite their caste. What would Lord Vishnu be without feet, or arms or thighs or head? Handicapped. What would society be without teachers, policemen, farmers and cleaners? Incomplete. Our scriptures teach us that each being is a manifestation of Parmatma, then how can a Hindu treat another Hindu like dirt and deny him all kind of even basic rights to a simple and dharmik life? Often people are denied access to temples and wells and abused terribly. HJS should also start a campaign to teach Hindus to respect eachother.
