HJS drive to prevent abuse of national flags

Representation submitted to District Administration and Education Department, Belgaum

Belgaum (Karnataka) – On the Republic Day, paper and plastic flags are used by people. After flag-hoisting, the flags are found thrown all over roads leading to their abuse. A representation was therefore, submitted to the Chief Executive Officer Faizi at District Collector’s office; so also to Chief Officer Maitri of Education Department demanding prevention of such abuse. Yoga Vedanta Samiti’s Shri. Sanjay Ghorpade, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Shri. Rhushikesh Gurjar and Shri. Sudhir Herekar, Sanatan Sanstha’s Abasaheb Sawant, Mahadev Chougule and other devout Hindus were present on the occasion. Few students of Jyoti College were also inspired to join and were present.


 Representation submitted in Mangaon

Mangaon – Senior Police Inspector (PI) Dattatreya Pandhare and Tehsildar Mahesh Sagar were submitted representation demanding preservation of honour of national flags by avoiding use of paper and plastic flags on Republic Day. Shri. Mahesh Sagar said, “I will send letter to group education officer, Principals and business community to take steps for preventing abuse of national flag and also advise newspapers and local cable channels to create awareness on the issue.” He instructed his colleagues and informed HJS giving copy of circular issued by him to that effect.
