Controversial pictures of Sree Ganesha withdrawn from the exhibition

Chiplun (Maharashtra): Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has organized an exhibition at 'Sahyadri School of Arts', Sawarde, Taluka Chiplun. The exhibition started from 24 th October has pictures of Sree Ganesha on display. Some pictures in this exhibiton were denigrating the deity. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha tried to explain to the organizers about denigration of Sree Ganesha. The oragnisers later, withdrew all such pictures from the exhibition.

Some of the pictures have been published in local newspapers. (Will these newspapers dare to publish such pictures of objects of worships from Islam or Christianity? Hindus must boycott the newspapers who are publishing these pictures. – Editor) Members of HJS and Sanatan Sanstha visited the exhibition and noticed the pictures denigrating Sree Ganesha. They contacted Shri. Shekhar Nikam, the Chairman of 'Sahyadri Education Sanstha' and drew his attention to the denigration of the deity reverred by all Hindus and requested him that such pictures should not be displayed in the exhibition. Shri. Nikam took notice of the advice and not only gave assurance but has since removed such pictures from the exhibition. (Congratulations to Shri. Nikam for helping to prevent denigration of our deity. – Editor) HJS and Sanatan Sanstha, later thanked the organizers.
