Pune (Maharashtra): Miss Christina Pereira, a Christian young woman adopted Hindu Dharma and later got married as per Hindu tradition following all Hindu rituals. This information has been published in a circular issued by Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Smruti Samiti. Pt. Anant Shastri performed the purification rites for Miss Christina and changed her name to Kavita. Later she married Shri. Ganesh Devkar at Shree Kshetra Vadhu in front of the tomb of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the presence of the Samiti’s members S/Shri. Milind Ekbote, Somnath Bhandare, Shantaram Bhandare, Parshuram Dhotre, Anil Kashid, Ashok Shidore, Lakshman Bhandare etc.
