Mumbai (Maharashtra): Dr. Narendra Dabholkar of Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANS) of Maharashtra has been trying to spread hatred towards Hindu Dharma through a project implemented by the organization for students from first to tenth standards. The project is named as ‘Awareness towards Science’. Shri. Pandurang Fundkar of BJP and the opposition leader of the State Legislative Council (SLC) have made a demand to Prof. Vasant Purake, the Education Minister to impose a ban on ANS project. The letter has been sent to the Education Minister on 1st September and a copy of which has been forwarded to Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, Mumbai district coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).
It has been mentioned in the letter that the book written by Dr. Dabholkar titled ‘Awareness towards Science’ and some question papers set by Dabholkar, defame Hindu Dharma, deities, saints, national heroes, various vows, customs and traditions observed by Hindus. This is resulting in inculcating bad moral values in children. ANS has been spreading hatred against Hindu Dharma through a noble profession like education. Therefore, action may be taken as per the demand made by HJS to ban Dabholkar’s project from schools. HJS had submitted a representation to Shri. Fundkar seeking ban on anti-Hindu project of ANS. Members of HJS had even met Shri. Fundkar and reiterated the demand personally. Demonstrations were staged at various places against the ANS project by political parties like Shiv Sena and BJP and Sampradayas like Sree Sampradaya along with HJS.
