Sriram Sena undertakes ‘Dattamala’ drive in ‘Datta-Peetha’ at Chikmagalur

Chikmagalur (Karnataka) : Sriram Sena, undertook ‘Dattamala’ drive at ‘Datta-Peetha’ on 2nd November. Hundreds of Sriram Sena members and devotees visited ‘Datta-Peetha’ wearing garlands and obtained ‘darshan’ of Deity Dattatreya. A procession was also taken out on the occasion with participation of Shri. Pramod Mutalik, the founder President of Sriram Sena; Shri. Gangadhar Kulkarni, Coordinator for Karnataka State; Swamiji Shri. Siddhalingeshwar Maharaj, the President of ‘Andol Mutt’; Shri. Guruprasad, the State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Karnataka and Sanatan Sanstha’s Kum. Priyanka Swami etc.

Shri. Pramod Mutalik addressed the devotees. He said, “Few fanatics have laid claim on ‘Datta-Peetha’. Sriram Sena has been fighting for protection of ‘Datta-Peetha’ for the past 9 years; but the Government has not taken any action against the concerned; in fact, the Government is overlooking their wrongdoings.

We have therefore, decided to stage intense agitation next year.” Shri. Guruprasad of HJS said that HJS was committed to protection of ‘Datta-Peetha’ and extended full support to Sriram Sena’s movement.
