Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken initiative for purification of River Ganga; but for such purification, it is necessary to shift Tehri dam from Uttarakhand, stated Srimatjagatguru Shankracharya Pujyapad Swami Shri. Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj of Govardhan Peetha.
He said further, “Efforts to purify Ganga while Tehri dam keeping as it is, is like tying a noose around neck of Ganga –Mata while trying to save her body. Encroachments on the river should be stopped and purification of her tributaries is also required to be done.
Ganga is our mother and she should flow in pure form as per Sanatan Dharma and its teachings.”
