July 18, 2007

By Staff Reporter

Pune (Maharashtra): 'If Hindus are separated from temples, it would be a downfall of Hindus resulting in weakening of their power. It will also bring Muslim or Christian Rule over this country. The ‘Temple takeover’ Act is an assault on Hindu Dharma and only because of indifference and ignorance of Hindus, the Government has dared to propose such Act,' said Shri. Chandrakant Vanjale Maharaj. Lack of ‘Dharma-education’ is the root cause of such bad state of Hindus and it has now become necessary to impart training on Dharma, he said further. He was addressing a meeting held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad to protest against the above Act. S/Shri. Nandkishore Ekbote, Vijay Kolhatkar, Babuji Natekar, Ninad Bedekar, Pandurang Raut and Hiraman Jagatap of VHP shared the dais with him.

Shri Ekbote said that the Act is an attack on Hindu Dharma and Hindus should be made aware of the Government’s ploy. Dharma should have control over rulers to avoid such situation. Smt. Himani Sawarkar of Sawarkar Smruti Pratishthan said that Hindus should unite to repulse the repeated attacks on Dharma. Shri. Sunil Ghanavat of HJS said that the Samiti has already started opposing the Act since last year and has staged state-wide agitation.
