Open Letter to President regarding hanging terrorist Afzal

Introduction

June 17, 2007

Respectable Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
President of India
Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

Subject : Appeal to the President of India for the quick execution of Afjal Guru.

Honourable Sir,

The press released the news that the notorious leader Siddikul Islam alias Bangla Bhai and six machinators belonging to Jamayet–ul–Mujahidin of Bangladesh (JMB) were hanged to death at  dawn on 30.03.2007. These  Bangla-bhais wanted to fortify the base of terrorism by blusting bombs in 63 districts among the 64 of Bangladesh on 17th August 2005. Without forgiving them or showing mercy  of any kind for that rebellious act against the State of  Bangladesh, Mr. Iyajuddin Ahamed, the Hon’ble President of the care-taker Govt. there, expedited the action of hanging to death without any delay.

This promt action of uprooting the Islamic Terrorisim in a neighbouring Islamic country is undoubtedly a significant one. Only two men were killed in that series bomb blust  on that black day in Bangladesh.   And within two years only, the criminals were hanged to death after all.

The attack of terroists on the Parliament of India, the citadel of one of the largest democracy in the world, took place on 13th December 2001. In order to keep the prestige and glory of our Parliament and to save the lives of  M.Ps of India, 8 of our security personnel lost their lives in the direct combat with the terrorist.  A reporter of electronic media was also mercilessly killed, while discharging  his duties on that spot.   Afjal Guru, the notorious gang-leader of that heinous activities is now a convict for hanging to death  in the Supreme Court of India. But there is no sign of expeditious move to materialise the procedure of execution of Afjal Guru, even after a lapse of five years. It is so heard that the review petition against the death sentence was turned down by the Supreme Court, but inspite of that, Afjal has filed  a curative petition again and perhaps it has borne  no fruit yet.

Your Majesty, the Hon’ble President of India, Sir, under this circumstances, the members of the martyr families have returned you on 13.12..06,   the posthumous medals awarded to those martyrs. I fail to understand how much you were perturbed for such a rejection. Much criticism has already come up about what sort of political, social and religious factors importantly stand before you barring  the tears of the families of the Great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of safety and security of the motherland as well as for the glory of our Parliament. Hard critics could not hesitate to pass such remarks that you are unable to find the real picture of severe state of sorrow, suffering and sobbing of the solititude martyr families due to your long  hairs down to your  eyes. However, I think you surely hurt the sentiments and agility of entire Security, Defence and Police sectors, by ignoring the appeal of  martyr families as a most trifling thing. And consequently the ferocious terrorists will be boosted up for conducting more and more anti-national and massacre activities.

What more can we expect from this pro-minority and anti-Hindu Unfortunate Pro-Minority Alliance Government at the centre? For that all Hindus have to throw this government out of power. Then only can we may expect to hang these terrorists.
