Hindus unite against proposed anti-Hindu Acts

May 20, 2007

Pune: Two proposed Acts on 'Black Magic' and 'Temple take-over' are assaults on Hindu Dharma. A 'Dharma-sabha' has been organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 9 th June 2007 in Pune to make people aware of the effects and gravity of the proposed Acts. In the meeting held there to plan for the 'Dharma-sabha', members of Hindu organizations, parties and sampradayas and devout Hindus took part. The members decided to reach the topic to maximum number of people in the State.

Shri. Veerendrasinh Tawade, the chief organizer of HJS for the State, said that the Black Magic Bill has been sent to the Joint Committee for examination. Although it is our victory, the danger of passing the Bill is still not completely over. Besides, there is a need to make people all over the State aware of effects of the proposed 'Temple take over' Act and spread the campaign through out the State.

Shri. Pandurang Balkawade, a senior historian said that participation of trustees of temple should increase considering the serious effects of the proposed Act. Members of organizations like Hindu Mahasabha, Akhand Hindustan Manch, Matoshree Pratishthan, Lal mahal Utsav Samiti, members of H. H. Ranalkar Maharaj's sampradaya, Aradhya Samaj, Bhoiraj Vitthal Temple Renovation Committee and Sanatan Sanstha participated in the meeting.
