'Nationalization' of temples could flare up Hindus' feelings

Panvel: A meeting was held of various organizations, sampradayas, parties and trustees at Sree Virupaksha temple to decide upon further plans to expand the agitation against Government's proposed 'Temple take-over' Act. Shri. Vivek Patil, MLA of Peasants and Workers' Party (PWP) warned that such move of the Government will lead to outburst of Hindu feelings. Every office bearer of the participating organization declared that they would bring maximum number of respective members for the public meeting. It was also decided to inform as many Hindus as possible about the forthcoming meeting.

Shri. Balasaheb Patil and Shri Bhaskar Chavan, the district and city chiefs respectively of BJP announced that a meeting of all municipal councilors of BJP-Shiv Sena will be held in this context. Leaders of many organizations and trusts like RSS, Asaram Bapu Sampradaya, Sree Hanuman temple, Sree Ayappa temple, Panvel Gurudwara, Konkan Dindi, Balaji Devsthan, H. H. Kalavati Aai Sampradaya, Maharashtra Prabodhan Warakari Mandal etc. attended the meeting. Through the medium of discourses and keertans, the issue will be taken to people.
