Why do we need police if devout Hindus need to do their job ?

Police however, lathi-charged Hindus; arresting many of them

Asansol (West Bengal) – Activists of ‘Arya Samaj, Kulty’ and ‘All-India Gou-Raksha Mission’ stopped two goods carriers on ‘Barkar’ check-post of Tekonia More near Kulty village on border of Bengal and Bihar for transporting cattle. The incident took place on 25th August at 8.30 a.m. and 100 cattle were rescued. These vehicles and cattle were owned by butchers and were to be exported to Bangla Desh. The animals were mercilessly crammed into vehicles. Neither were there any essential papers for transporting cattle with the transporters; nor was any provision made for fodder, water or medicines for the animals. The average age of cattle was below 7 years; but it is being accused that police harassed Hindus at the instigation of butchers and owners of slaughter-houses. Kulty police station’s inspector Dilip Pal has, however, refuted the charges of ‘lathi-charging’ Hindus. (Who will believe claims made by such police ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
