Pune (Maharashtra) : Cultural traditions and borders of nation remain protected due to temples. Temples preserve ‘satviktta’ (Holiness) and help Dharma, Sampradayas and people mingle with each other. Temples are essential for protection of nation and Dharma. Temples should be built in forest and border regions. Temples with sound financial position should help financially weak temples, stated H. H. Swami Govindadevagiri (earlier known as Acharya Kishoreji Vyas) during inauguration ceremony of website www.devsthansamiti.org of ‘Bharatiya Devsthan Samiti’. The Program was held at Bhave School on 23rd August. The other dignitaries attending the program were Shri. Vitthal Swami Maharaj, ‘Mathadhipati’ of Jairam Swami Maharaj Mutt, Satara; renowned ‘keertankar’ Kalyani Joshi, Shri. Kshitij Patukale of ‘Devasthan Samiti’ and Shri. Ashok Godase, the President of ‘Dagadu Sheth Halwai Ganapati Trust’.

H. H. Govindadevagiri said further, “Temples are centres of ‘sanskars’. When temples are taken over by Government, they are treated like industry. The Government has passed a new Act for Sri Vitthal Mandir of Pandharpur. Hindus should create such awe that the Government would not dare to interfere with their temples. Temples should be protected.” Shri. Patukale stated- "Devsthan Samiti was formed to coordinate between temples not only from India but also from all over the world; for developing system and order amongst them; for revival of culture and to join with all factions of society."
