Pune (Maharashtra) : Volunteers of RSS worked under guidance of team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and helped in rescue operations at Malin in much disciplined manner.
1. Shri. Ganesh Khandeshi, Taluka Executive of RSS for Ambegaon was the first one to reach the place of incident even before Government could provide help.
2. About 50-60 volunteers of RSS reached the place of incident from Manchar and Moshi near Pune.
3. They actually started work at 3.00 p.m. Lot of time was wasted in police driving away onlookers who were crowding the place. The volunteers and NDRF team members were successful in rescuing a woman and ten -year old boy at 5.00 p.m. Volunteers did an important job of taking out the dead bodies and their cremation. The work is still going on.
