A huge general meeting was organized on 20 April 2007 at Nare Park, Mumbai to oppose the (Blind) Faith Eradication bill and Temple Takeover Bill. Below is the gist of the speech given by Shri. Dagadu (Dada) Sakpal, a Shiv Sena MLA.

It is really unfortunate that Hindus have to hold meetings for their protection. It is our duty to protect the Dharma in which we are born. Today, we do not need Hindus who can only ring bells in temples but we want Hindus who will not think twice to beat up somebody who is against Hindu Dharma. When we pay them with the same coin, no non-Hindu will dare to bully us in Hindustan. But the question is who will come forward to pay back anti-Hindus with the same coin. We have gathered here in such a great number, we should take oath that we shall protect our Dharma till our last breath. The misconception of Hindus being in majority should be removed.

The Black Magic Bill was passed with majority in the Legislative Assembly. That time I had said and even now I repeat that if the Bill is passed, we shall go out to fight against it. It is our duty to protect this religion. There is restriction on Hindus that they should not canvass as a Hindu in this country; one should not proudly say that he is a Hindu. Then do we go to Pakistan and say that we are Hindus? I am born in this land and it is my country. Hindustan should be recognized as a land of Hindus. Many freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives to get freedom for this country. They drove away British Rulers. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj breathed new life in Hindus.

Shri. Sakpal said that he would be always available for anything to do with protection of Hindu Dharma.
