Panun Kashmir’ stages demonstrations in Pune

against unjust ban on Kausarnag (Kashmir) pilgrimage

Pune : Ban on Kausarnag pilgrimage is a big conspiracy. Not only fanatics from Kashmir but even foreign powers, through the medium of fanatics, are responsible for such ban. Jammu-Kashmir Government imposed ban on this pilgrimage of Hindus without giving any prior notice; therefore, demonstrations were held on 3rd August to condemn this ban.

These demonstrations were held in the area of ‘Vidhan Bhavan’ during which Shri. Bhat expressed the above opinion. He also said that every village in Kashmir had a Hindu name as per ancient Hindu culture; but attempts were made to change the names of holy places of pilgrimage, hills and villages in Kashmir.

Hindu pilgrims are very much disturbed by such anti-Hindu policy of Jammu-Kashmir State Administration. Demand was made that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should instruct Abdulla Government to re-start this pilgrimage and that too not on new route but as per the traditional route. A representation was also submitted in the office of District Collector in the name of the Prime Minister. There is no alternative to ‘Dharma-kranti’ ! – Abhijit Deshmukh

Shri. Abhijit Deshmukh of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, “It is a country of Hindus; but Hindus are only getting attacked. Congress Government was not interested in solving Kashmir problem and present Government is also not successful in solving the same. We need to unite through such agitations. Let us increase our strength to such an extent that we get back Kashmir on the basis of our strength if the Government fails to do so.”

Shri. Anupam Fotedar said that the Government is bowing before terrorists and preventing Hindu pilgrims. It is a ploy to instate Mughal regime through such things. Shri. Sandip Khardekar, General Secretary of BJP for Pune district said conspiracy to repress Hindus would not be tolerated.

There were more than 70 activists including Shri. Charanjit Singh Sahni, Secretary of ‘Sikh Janaseva Sangh’; Shri. Parit Singh Sahni of ‘Bharatiya Janata Yuva Manch’; Shri. Rai Singh, ‘Sanghatan Mantri’ of ‘All-India Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishada’ for Pune University, Shri. Rahul Kaul, Secretary of ‘Panun Kashmir’, its Rajendra Raina, Arvind Pundit etc.  present on the occasion.

What is the exact problem of Kausarnag pilgrimage ?

In 1990, Kashmiri Hindus were displaced from Kashmir due to jihadi activities. Since then, the pilgrimage of Kausarnag was discontinued. Kashmiri Hindus decided to re-start this pilgrimage after 25 years and on 2nd July, obtained permission from Omar Abdulla Government for the same. The pilgrimage was to be undertaken between the period 30th July and 2nd August; but separatist factions of Kashmir raised objection to this pilgrimage. They started circulating handbills against India, Kashmiri Pundits and Kausarnag pilgrimage; resorting to violence. Jammu-Kashmir Government, under intimidation by Chief Minister Omar Abdulla, withdrew permission granted for the said pilgrimage without giving any prior notice. The State Administration also declared about change in traditional route of the pilgrimage. As such, pilgrims coming from Delhi, Pune, and Jammu etc. will have to go back without undertaking pilgrimage. ( Is it India or Pakistan that permission is not granted for re-starting the suspended pilgrimage of Hindus ? It is most shameful for all Hindus in India that Hindus’ rights are being throttled in this country where Hindus are in majority !  Will staunch Hindu Narendra Modi help Hindus to get back their rights by considering this incident seriously ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat )
