Discussion session on IBN Lokmat : Day-dream of improving relations with Pakistan through arts and sports

Mumbai – Pakistan’s cricketer Javed Miandad says that cricket match with India is like ‘jihad’ for them. Even today, in some Muslim areas in India, Pakistan’s win is celebrated with bursting crackers. Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi invited Pakistan’s Prime Minister for his swearing-in ceremony; still killing of Indian soldiers did not stop. How long are we going to play cricket with Pakistan when Indian soldiers are getting killed every day ? How long are we going to day-dream about Pakistan’s good behavior through arts or sports ? The above question was asked by Shri. Ramesh Shinde, national spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). In a program telecast on IBN Lokmat channel on 24th July called ‘Aaj chaa Sawaal’, the topic of discussion was ‘Is there politics behind opposing Sania Mirza’s selection as ‘brand ambassador’?’ Shri. Shinde asked the above questions. In this discussion session, other participants were journalist Hemant Desai, Neela Limaye of Congress and chess player, Pravin Thipsay. Why is Saina Nehwal forgotten while making Sania Mirza as ‘brand ambassador’ ? – Ramesh Shinde

Telangana State was created because people from Telangana felt that injustice was done to them in Andhra Pradesh. After formation of Telangana, the Government stopped giving scholarships to students who are not born in Telangana; therefore, citizens of Telangana feel that making Sania Mirza as ‘brand ambassador’ of Telangana although she was not born there, is injustice to them.
There is deficit of Rs. 15,000/- crores in current budget presented by this State; so citizens are asking why should Sania be paid Rs. 1 crore ?
Sania broke her engagement to her fiance from India and married a Pakistani sportsman. She is presently staying in Dubai; so if she feels, she is free to play for Pakistan.
Why is Saina Nehwal forgotten while making Sania a ‘brand ambassador’?
When issue of Sania’s marriage is raised, Congress spokesperson says why should one talk about Sania’s personal matter ? Why does Congress forget that Digvijay Singh of the same party had created controversy on the issue of Narendra Modi’s marriage, during elections ?
