Shri. Deepak Dhavalikar, Minister of Cooperation in Goa State cabinet ministry said during State Assembly session that 'India would become a Hindu Rashtra in future' and we welcome that statement. India is a ‘Swayambhu (self-existent)’ Hindu Rashtra; but attempts were made to wipe out this identity. In this background, 'India will become a Hindu Rashtra in future, with everyone joining this effort, the statement made by Shri. Dhavalkar is very re-assuring for Hindus and he is the first minister in this country to insist for Hindu Rashtra. We congratulate him on behalf of all pro-Hindu organizations, said Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in a press release.

The purpose behind establishing RSS was to create a powerful Hindu Rashtra; also great revered personalities like Swatantryaveer Savarkar and Swami Vivekananda had talked about the same; so, it is not a new demand.

Those, who have made India as a secular country, seem to have forgotten that Pakistan and Bangladesh were separated on the basis of religion; therefore, hundreds of pro-Hindu organizations in India are striving hard for regaining the identity of India as a Hindu Rashtra. The statement made by Shri. Dhavalikar will help to boost up their enthusiasm and has given strength to the mission of all such organizations working for establishment of Hindu Rashtra.

HJS has been organizing all-India Hindu Convention for the past 3 years with the aim of establishment of Hindu Rashtra. This topic limited to only pro-Hindu activists, has now become a matter of discussions all over the nation. There will be lot of brain-storming on this subject in future and we are sure that significance of Hindu Rashtra would be realized.

Modi will develop India into a Hindu state: Goa minister

July 25, 2014

Days after his minister brother triggered a controversy by demanding a ban on wearing bikinis on Goa’s beaches, Co-operation Minister Dipak Dhavalikar on Thursday appeared to have waded into another, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi will develop India into a Hindu nation.

“I am confident that under the leadership of Modiji, India will develop into a Hindu nation. PM will work in this regard is what I feel,” he said while speaking in the state assembly on a motion congratulating Modi on Bharatiya Janata Party’s electoral victory.

Both Dhavalikar brothers — Sudin and Dipak – belonging to Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, an ally of BJP, are ministers in the Manohar Parrikar government.

“Wearing bikinis should be banned on Goa’s beaches,” Sudin Dhavalikar, the state’s transport minister, had said earlier this month.

Before that, he had slammed “young girls going to pubs in short dresses” as it was against Goan culture. “Young girls going to pubs in short dresses does not fit in our culture. What will happen to our Goan culture if we allow this? Scantily-dressed girls visiting pubs project a wrong culture and this should be stopped,” he had said.

Sudin had later withdrawn his comments that provoked outrage in the state whose beaches and pubs swarm with tourists, including lakhs of foreigners.
