Lack of unity amongst Hindus and their over-tolerance are the reasons responsible for denigration of their seats of worship !

Hindus should register their protest, in lawful manner, against attacks on their seats of worship !

Mumbai – On page 1, in the edition of ‘Dainik Loksatta’ dated 11th July 2014, news about budget has been published and in that news, Narendra Modi has been depicted in the form of Lord Vitthal who is worshipped by millions of Hindus by cartoonist Neelesh. Modi has been shown with two lotus flowers on both shoulders, besides showing lotus flowers around his neck and tied to his hands. ‘Abhang’ of Saint Tukaram was also printed under the picture in connection with the budgetary provisions. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has been shown only as a medium; while Modi has been compared with ‘Govind (Srikrushna)’;  A few verses are also published under this picture. This has hurt the religious sentiments of devout Hindus.

Devout Hindus are registering protest on the following address :

  • ‘Dainik Loksatta’, Mumbai

  • Tel. Nos: (022) 22022627; 67440000

  • Fax No.: (022) 22822187

  • Email id: [email protected]

It is wrong to show rulers like Narendra Modi or any human being in the form of a Deity. Narendra Modi is a leader, and not God, the Creator. Therefore, to depict him in form of a Deity is like committing a sin.

Today’s newspapers and their Editors have no knowledge, whatsoever, of this subject which further leads to the misleading of people (readers). This also underlines the inevitability of imparting ‘Dharma-education’ to Hindus.
